Of the 26 players on the Milwaukee Brewers' active roster, 20 played high school baseball in the United States. And 11 of them were multi-sport athletes in high school!
These Brewers are proof that competing in multiple sports in high school helps student-athletes develop versatility, teamwork, leadership & resilience while building skills that they will carry into life long after their playing days are over.
GO BREW CREW! 💙💛

Excluding the game where 2 Milwaukee public schools played ... In the first round of the WIAA playoffs, MPS went 0-6, losing by a combined score of 261-20.
Since 2000, MPS schools are now a combined 5-125 vs. non-MPS schools and 15-135 overall.

There is NO valid reason for even considering putting Mike Evans out there this week. None.
I get he wants to play. He’s a tough dude. But it shouldn’t be his decision. A part of roster and health management is telling players when they need to sit out for their own good AND for the good of the team.
Start Kirk and Cooks. Give Watkins and Cowing targets. If those latter two can’t get open, can’t run the precise routes, or can’t complete the catches, they have no business being on the roster. Cut them.
Mike Evans is a prime weapon—but one they need to preserve at all costs. The 49ers can win this game and the next several without Mike. If they can’t, there’s a bigger problem to address than just his nagging injuries.
SIT Mike TF down until he’s healed enough to play with some degree of safety from a ruptured Achilles. Playing him this week would be malpractice.
John Lynch says it’s yet to be determined on Mike Evans availability for Sunday’s game against the Falcons
John says despite the bye week coming up next week, they are trying to win every game and if Mike is healthy, he will play.

Too bad the tv selection show crew made zero mention of the 9-0 Southern Lakes Conference Champion.

Brewers radio announcer Jeff Levering paid tribute to the late great Bob Uecker following the final out in the NLCS
“THE BREWERS WIN THE PENNANT! OH MY GOD THE BREWERS WIN THE PENNANT!”
How can you not be romantic about baseball.

In 2007 I was drafted by the @Brewers. In 2016 I was traded. I played for them a large portion of my life.
I remember riding on the team bus in 2007, in the middle of nowhere Montana during rookie ball, watching the ‘82 World Series team highlight video. They engrained it in us from the beginning.
What the front office, players, and coaching staff have done this year is nothing short of amazing.
I remember sitting with Ueck, Gumby, and Gorman Thomas in the locker room one day and listening to them talk about the ‘82 series. Listening to them was a such a privilege. I miss those days.
The generations of players that have come and gone since then all dreamed about what has now come to fruition.
These guys have earned it, and like Murph said, we have gamers.
What an amazing time for the city of Milwaukee and State of Wisconsin!
I’m honored to have been drafted and played for the @Brewers. It truly is humbling to witness it.
This is pure poetry
LOVE that our friend @JLevering4 delivered the @Brewers version of the line Bob Uecker delivers as Harry Doyle when the Indians win the pennant in “Major League.”
“The Brewers win the pennant! Oh my God, the Brewers win the pennant!”
Pitch-perfect homage, Levo.
