They had me until they said Lulu. I’m partial to @littlesnitch
Yeah… I said it!
Here is my 10 Minute Mac Security Checklist
It covers the min requirements to harden your Mac's security using system settings and free, open source tools

Just sitting here waiting for the depreciation then the jailbreak. Love the hardware but hate the spyware and adware.
Finally got an email telling me my stream ring signing kit is in the mail. Getting closer to actually getting my @sandbar
It’s like Christmas in October!!! But maybe I’ll be getting it in November. No matter.
We spent the last 3 years building an extension of human thinking. Now, Stream Ring begins shipping next month
Feedback from over 100 beta users and 1000+ IRL demos has helped shape what Stream can do. Here’s the latest, plus answers to common questions
Thanks for being part of our early journey, and for what comes next ∽
Apple could do the funniest thing right now. And I hope they do. Not because I want a Duo, I don’t. I just deeply despise scalpers.
Divorce lawyers and investigators are going to love this. Subpoenas for txt messages and phone logs have solved the he said, she said. Now having the actual voice records will be game changing.
Apple, $AAPL, has announced a Live Rewind feature for Apple Watch, allowing users to replay what was said around them over the previous 15 seconds.
Been loving Grok Bot but now playing with Instinct (instinct.com by @noahrshinn). It’s the first AI harness that I believe works well for the masses. I bundle Claude Code / Codex / Grok Build for devs. Then Grok Bot / Hermes / OpenClaw for simplicity. But Instinct seems to take it up another level where I’m asking myself… Can my dad use this?
And my dad struggles with ChatGPT!
Agreed! Both @bot and Instinct makes using AI easier for workers and the general public, respectively. It will help both groups elevate ther use of AI from search/research/drafting to more sophisticated use cases. They also make AI fun to use!
I’m running both side by side and am loving it.
Honestly don't care what we call these geese but they need to chill. A place I worked had them all over the parking lot and getting to and I would be chased and snapped at all the time. They were a protected species so I could not do the needful. teapawt.net/ShannonJoyRadio/status…
Poteto poteto poteto! I’m selling things on Craigslist and the scammers are a real pain so I created a @bot called Miss-Chief to seek out the scam emails and waste their time. Maybe not the best use of my tokens but Miss-Chief is really funny.
Experts warned hackers would use AI as a ”Cyber Super Weapon” but they never predicted the Frontier labs would be the first to do the hacking!
🚨 BREAKING: OpenAI and Anthropic disclosed today that AI agents targeted real people and systems during separate cybersecurity tests.
🔹AISI says Anthropic’s Mythos 5 submitted malware to a real GitHub project, created fake accounts, sent malicious emails, and pressured maintainers to approve the code.
🔹OpenAI says one of its models breached a real website after a testing misconfiguration exposed the environment to the internet.
These incidents are separate from the Hugging Face breach.
Not betting against Elon, but wouldn't this remove static code analysis and limit bug hunting to capabilities of defenders? Or maybe the models will be able to do this from just the binaries? Not sure I'm mentally ready for this.
John says aloud what most of us are thinking.
It really annoys me how they report this stuff like they’ve gone on safari to do scientific observation
Claude is a computer program that they created
These are simply their own security errors being reported as if they are scientific achievements
It’s bad enough that they don’t seem to think they need to be responsible for their own mistakes
But the worst part of it is they try to use their own mistakes as an excuse to control the behavior of other people
There is an amazing arrogance to the whole thing, like they are completely above reproach and cannot possibly be wrong about anything
After much thoughtful deliberation, I’m announcing that I have signed the open weights letter because open weight models are good for everyone (except Anthropic). You’re welcome.
For my first post, I’m sharing a letter @NVIDIA signed on why open models matter.
AI will transform every industry, power every company, and be built by every country.
Open models strengthen safety and cybersecurity, accelerate innovation and diffusion, and enable sovereignty.
The world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models.

This is totally bonkers! @OpenAI tests their advanced Cybersecurity model in a sandbox, it breaks out then starts hacking @Huggingface! Proud they disclosed it, but wow! Just WOW.
we had a significant security incident during evaluation of our models. we are sharing what we have learned so far. thanks to @huggingface for the partnership on this.

Why are more people not talking about this?
