For everyone who wants to downplay this outbreak of cyclospora, saying we have outbreaks of this diarrhea parasite every year... Yeah, we do, and they're usually SMALL and kept under control. We're at 4 TIMES the usual number, AND WE'RE ONLY AT WEEK 30! And Trump did this FYI

Cyclospora Is in the Lettuce Supply. Taylor Farms Ships to Taco Bell, Kroger, Meijer, and Every Major Yum! Brand. The Outbreak Is Bigger Than Anyone Is Saying. Cyclospora cayetanensis — a waterborne protozoan parasite from contaminated irrigation water in central Mexico. Explosive, watery diarrhea. Cramping. Dehydration. Lasting a month or more without treatment. It started with Taco Bell, but the supply chain runs to every major grocery chain and fast food brand in the country. The only treatment that stops it: trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole — Bactrim or Septra. A generic antibiotic that should be in every household medicine cabinet right now. 🚨Just in: The FDA has announced that testing linking Taylor Farms to the Cyclospora investigation produced a false positive The source of the Cyclospora outbreak (Explosive Diarrhea) still remains unknown

We can thank Trump for making the outbreak of a parasite causing explosive diarrhea MUCH WORSE—seriously!   CDC used to track Cyclospora, but Trump gutted our public health infrastructure & made monitoring the parasite optional. Now, we're in the worst outbreak in U.S. history.
