I loved Paul's SCV4 grind streams. Very sad to hear this. RIP to a true gaming legend. teapawt.net/TomCatsTours/status/17…

Today I received sad news that my good friend Paul @FuriousPaul_ who #WorldOfWarcraft players have known over the years as Joana of Joana's Guides has passed away yesterday. I am in shock trying to process this. I will try to provide more information when I know more.

MID 4:54 IS DONE! 4:54.631 SMB1 ANY% WORLD RECORD! First ever run literally tied with the TAS going into 8-4, and I clutched it out. This is now a new era where the only timesave left is 8-4 frames! This wouldn't have been possible without your support, THANK YOU to everyone! <3

Ten years ago I went to my first GDQ, #AGDQ2013. As we pulled up to 4H center, @cyghfer said "it feels like I'm home again" and he nailed it. I had such a good time, and met so many friends in person that I still am close with to this day. The speedrunning community is da bomb.

As I enter my 13th year speedrunning Mega Man 2, I want to reflect on how far the game has come and what my plans are heading into 2023.

I want to achieve that one run that thoroughly and wholly satisfies me, to the very core of my being. I know that, whatever time that run ends up being, someone will eventually come along and beat it.

I am at peace with that inevitability. For now, in 2023, we will work diligently and dutifully toward that run.
