Black artists and behind the scenes music industry have not done all this work for there to finally be opened doors/opportunities for multiple incredible indie, alt and pop black artists to finally break through… then have you lots telling her to go back to R&B once she got there with a SUCCESSFUL POP song. Not on this internet. Stop pigeon holing black artists and stop clouding her release with think pieces. It is heart breaking that she’s trying to promote her song and also DEFEND her artistic choices. It’s not everyday you need a think piece about policing black woman and especially not in 2026 come on.
