I enjoyed Starcrash way more than Star Wars. Apart from anything else I'd much rather watch Caroline Munro than Carrie Fisher. And Christopher Plummer in Starcrash is more fun than Alec Guinness in Star Wars.

Vera Reynolds is seen here in a production still from her film, The Road to Yesterday (1925). Interesting note: This was the very first release from Cecil B. DeMille's newly formed production company, DeMille Pictures Corporation

For those watching THE HOUSE ON TELEGRAPH HILL on #NoirAlley #TCM - here's the real house! (Reing renovated when I was there; special effects added to height.) Hilariously, it's just a couple doors down the road from Lauren Bacall's DARK PASSAGE apartment!

Nico in Times Square, 1960s Neon lights, a Coca-Cola sign, slush on the sidewalk, and a German model in a bold striped suit looking up at the city. Before she sang on The Velvet Underground & Nico (1967), produced by Andy Warhol, she had already appeared in Fellini's La Dolce Vita. Few people captured New York cool quite like her.
Who else had this kind of effortless style?
