I'm a cinephile (and YouTube is my daily source for film trailers). My music preference is movie soundtracks. I enjoy writing. Horror novel in progress.

After watching the trailer for 2025's remake of the Christmas classic from 1984 - Silent Night, Deadly Night - I can officially go on record and say I'm looking forward to seeing this.

For me, it's this number π
How can such a thing as that be true when folks bombard you constantly with services to supposedly help advance your book?
Services, which I might add, may or may not exist. Scammers have gotten very clever these days.
No DMs means no DMs. It can't get any clearer than that.
No DMsβ might keep the noise away, but it can also silence the voices that truly matter, the readers your words once touched. Connection is the heartbeat of every author. π¬β€οΈ

It's a situation like yours that worries me the most.
Like when I suddenly get bombarded by folks who offer their services to help me advance my novella.
I have no way to prove that they are legit or up to some shady s*it.
That's my two cents for right now.

I hope this doesn't get ugly. My original editor told me over a month ago that he just needed a couple more days. Two weeks later he said he had a family emergency but would finish it "definitely this week". That was over two weeks ago, I've messaged him numerous times with no response since. I don't like sending messages like this, and I really don't like being put in to positions where I have to send these

Just minutes away from sitting down and watching the latest film in the Tron franchise.

From the ending of 1968's Planet of the Apes, it has to be this scene.
Whatβs a critically panned movie that you just canβt help loving?
House of D. It was a beautiful, coming of age movie with a lot of heart. House of D had a great cast, including Robin Williams & Anton Yelchin, both gone too soon. It deserved better.

Just found out that 2007's Trick 'r Treat will be returning to theaters on October 14 and 16 for a special Fathom Event.
Finally, I will have the opportunity to see it in a theater.

Well, I may have found my next favorite Halloween film.
Also, my opinion may change after watching the film.
Arriving on Tubi on October 17th.
Go watch the trailer.

So yesterday I watched Code 3 starring Raine Wilson and it wasn't what I expected.
I had seen the trailer and it was marketed, I thought, as a comedy movie.
Yes, it does have comedic moments but it was a more serious film than I thought.

If I were choosing a double-feature, it would be Event Horizon and either Spawn or Mimic.
Some of these pairings don't make sense to me.
The pairing that makes sense is Leave It To Beaver & George Of The Jungle.

Your book is real. Tangible. Page-turning.
Now give it a platform that values print.
List your book where it stays discoverable.
