Finally able to share our latest work, just published! doi.org/10.1016/j.nbd.2023.1… We found a novel #caspase -2 cleavage site in #tau protein, and show that casp2 also processes D421. 1/3

The double truncated #tau fragment is then strongly bound by the #ubiquitin ligase CHIP in vitro and in vivo and degraded! Mice expressing the fragment have normal #cognition, so healthy brains can deal with it. 2/3
