Something interesting is happening behind the scenes in UK banking. 🇬🇧 Banks are now moving real pound deposits between each other using infrastructure built by Quant. This isn’t crypto replacing the banks. Your money is still held by Lloyds, NatWest, Barclays etc. Same protections, same claim on the bank. The difference is the technology. Funds could be locked until a remortgage completes or goods change hands, then released automatically. Less waiting. More certainty. ⚡️ I’ll always be in the Bitcoin camp when it comes to sound money. ₿🟠 Tokenised deposits are bank IOUs with better plumbing. 🇬🇧JUST IN: UK completed the world's FIRST interbank transactions using tokenized pound deposits. Lloyds, NatWest and Barclays, managing £1.52 TRILLION, just carried out mortgage transactions using blockchain-based versions of bank deposits. In simple terms, bank deposits were turned into digital tokens and moved between banks.
