Was I wrong? If you're not willing to be serious about a proxy war then you are just posturing. While taxpayers get milked, soldiers get slaughtered and contractors get richer.
Surely it comes down to this: Could Ukraine actually defeat Russia with the same deliberately nerfed Western support that has to avoid causing WW3? The answer is obviously no.
The only means to defeat Russia would require WW3 triggering actions.
So either do the WW3 or pack it up and end the war.

Likewise they think that I might be anything but immensely proud to be associated with my own dad, one of the most successful businessmen and generous individuals this country has produced since the War, and his association with GB News, officially the most viewed and trusted news channel in the country.

The French do this kind of thing on the regular. It's a cultural LARP of the French revolution. But nothing ever happens. Eventually the toys get put back in the box, the anger dissipates and they go back to eating frogs, cheese and wine. It will all be forgotten by November.
