⚓ Reclaiming the Waves sets out what that strategy could look like. A Britain-first, maritime-first approach that prioritises homeland defence, the Euro-Atlantic and a credible contribution to NATO. Read Joshua Huminski’s new paper 👇 prosperity.com/media-publica…

🇬🇧 Britain needs a new maritime-first defence strategy. @joshuachuminski and @TraytonBaker explain why Britain needs to dominate the waters around our islands. 🎥 Watch him explain why here 👇

TOP quality piece by @jcdinnage on how we can dig Britain out of her fiscal ditch, plugging a range of Prosperity Institute research on energy, welfare, labour markets and the health service. – at London, England
🇬🇧 Britain’s national debt is now over £3 TRILLION. Writing in today’s @DailyMail, @jcdinnage tries to put £3tn into context, and shares his thoughts on the way forward. “With £3tn, we could build 10 million new homes, 30 HS2 rail networks or 2,000 Shard skyscrapers.” 👇 Here

The Government claims that closer ties with the EU would boost growth. How disingenous. There is no reason to suggest that we would not face the same low-growth, low-productivity future as France and Germany if we were to rejoin. Rather than face facts, Burnham hides his head in the sand. My latest for @CityAM👇

A great overview of the slew of recent studies on the economic impacts of mass migration. The average British worker living outside of London is now about £2k a year worse off because of the Boriswave! telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/10…

We just published 10 new transcripts, these have been some of the most difficult to get, & turn out to be some of the most shocking cases yet —including police refusing to investigate an allegation. Her teacher and judge both agree they were asking her to get raped again
🧵 Today the Centre for Justice Policy is publishing 10 new grooming gang sentencing remarks from Rochdale, Huddersfield, Rotherham, High Wycombe, Nottingham and Chelmsford. Some had no reporters in the room, and coverage of the rest missed much of what the judges said.

While I admire the public spiritedness of the people of Limoges this really should be paid for by fining and cutting benefits of everyone who rioted and their families.

Tony Smith has worked in border enforcement for 50 years; he makes some excellent points: 1) Leaving the ECHR alone will not stop the small boats. You will, at minimum, also need to amend (or repeal) the Human Rights Act and Modern Slavery protections. 2) Border force should be able to detain migrants indefinitely; unless they agree to a voluntary return or produce the necessary documents — 98% of small boat arrivals arrive without a passport, they are told to throw their passports, phones and any other documentation into the sea by the smugglers, as this makes it essentially impossible for the Home Office to determine who these people actually are. 3) Successive Governments have lacked the political will to amend UK legislation and return to the system we had from the 1970s to the 1990s; which allowed border force to detain and deport people quickly. 4) The House of Lords is a big barrier to tightening immigration and asylum law, as they are sympathetic to the wishes of migrants and asylum seekers over the wishes of the British public.

Some of the criticism to this is unfair. Allegiance to the country and our traditions does bind us (if it is just ethnicity, then plenty of patriots would have to be excluded). Yet, much like Christianity providing the foundations of our nation, the ethnic British are the root.
What unites us? Not ethnicity. A common commitment to the country built by former generations. And the foundation of this building - in which people of all faiths can live - is Christianity.

From a demographic perspective, if the ethnic British do become a minority, as they will if current trends continue, then that will weaken the foundations on which we all depend. We can already see that in the areas where they are a minority.

She insists on funding a proscribed organisation responsible for personal violence, unlike Rushie was has been persecuted and badly hurt just for his writing. It would be more reasonable for the Spectator to run a “Free John Honey” cover.
If you ever sought out the novels of Sally Rooney in bookshops – when that was still possible – you’d know they sit in the fiction stacks adjacent to the novels of another SR whose books have been withdrawn in dastardly political circumstances. Until last week, “Rooney” and “Rushdie” had little in common beyond being shelfmates; now they have more than just a physical proximity. @tanjil_rashid_: This is censorship by other means newstatesman.com/comment/202…

Fred de Frossard from Prosperity Institute warns we are recreating immigrants' home countries here in Britain. "The Home Secretary's home constituency in Birmingham is a fantastic example of where things have gone wrong with integration." @iancollinsuk @defossardf

Human rights laws mean you not only have to live next to deadly terrorists - you have to pay for their upkeep and their legal fees too. It's time to leave the ECHR and scrap the HRA.
Dangerous ISIS terrorist involved in mass executions and stonings claims asylum in the UK and is seen wandering near Windsor Castle. Link: mol.im/a/16217337
