Two groups can't use credit cards: the 1.4 billion unbanked people around the world, and AI agents calling APIs. Neither can pass KYC. Neither has a bank account. But both can hold a Bitcoin Lightning wallet. Last week I added Lightning to @python_starter - any Python dev or vibe coder can now ship a Flask web app payable by both. Check out the video demo to see the Lightning payment process in action:

עכשיו באום אל פאחם. בפעם שעברה היו כאן 38 אחוזי הצבעה. הפעם זה אפשרי להגיע כאן ל-80 אחוזי הצבעה ולהפיל את שלטון הימין הגזעני. בכל כמה שעות, עד יום הבחירות, נעבור ליישוב אחד ןנדאג שאף אחד לא נשאר הפעם בבית. ביחד, ערבים ויהודים, נביא לשינוי.

Israelis heard three Druse speaking in Arabic in a Tel Aviv club. They beat them so badly all three were hospitalised. Now the Druse are protesting and blocking roads. Not least because all three were serving in the Israeli military. The Druse are drafted in Israel and often end up in elite formations. It's quite remarkable that they were attacked in hyper liberal Tel Aviv. But it shows you where Israeli youths are politically. The older generation of politicians often refer to Druse as blood brothers. The younger generation is just rabid.

Why does political Zionism need to be confronted? Because it is the ideology behind occupation, dispossession, apartheid, and now genocide. This has been a historical, incremental process which has led to where we are now. It is time to stop this incremental process before it leads to the complete erasure of the Palestinian people.
When asked why write a book about Zionist ideology at this time: Confronting Zionism: Decolonizing Palestine and Building the World Anew out w @haymarketbooks on November 10. #Zionism #Palestine #Decolonization

I don't unpack in a hotel or an Airbnb anymore until Claude Code finishes one sweep. Bags stay by the door. The laptop opens first. One prompt, 5 steps, read only the whole way: Wi-Fi: maps every device on the network and flags the camera brands and the ports cameras use to stream video Bluetooth: listens for AirTag, Tile and SmartTag beacons that keep showing up after you leave the room Your phone: runs Amnesty's open source spyware toolkit against known stalkerware indicators Lenses: walks you through a flashlight sweep of everything that faces the bed and the shower Report: one ranked table with the next move for each item, from asking for another room to calling the police It never logs into anything, never touches a device that isn't yours, and tells you straight what it can't see. I'd rather give it 10 minutes than spend the whole trip wondering. The full sweep is below, copy paste ↓

Yeah that’s true. Insane that Israel has never had an Arab Jewish or “Mizrahi” (“Eastern”) PM, when they make up such a large segment of Israeli society.
The elections continue to reveal the racism in Israel towards Mizrahi Jews. When asked if he will vote for Eizenkot, this market vendor says they will "never vote for a Moroccan" in this market, which is ironically a bastion of Mizrahi Jews. This comes days after an Israeli journalist called Eizenkot a monkey. The deep racism and self-hatred are likely keeping Eizenkot from cleanly defeating Netanyahu. There is a reason Israel has never had a Mizrahi prime minister.

Israeli society, like every other settler colonial society in the world, is built on layers upon layers of racism.

A young blonde woman with an American accent in Israel says that all the Arabs must be kicked out of Gaza because it is "our land" since "God commanded us to take it." The Palestinians should be kicked out to any other Arab state, she continues, except Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria, "because they are ours." "Or we will kill them," she adds Can we stop pretending that this is a marginal view in Israel? That these are the comments of a fringe minority? They are not. Israel has been on this path for quite some time. Western governments know it fully - yet they continue to fund and enable Israel's genocidal policies.

Scaremongering or real potential threat to Israeli economy? Hard to know. But interesting post:
1/ Benjamin Netanyahu got the last set of polls last night. They argue Likud and his block are eroding fast. Then, came his remarks on Israel's economy. These are among the most extraordinary he has made in a long political career. Whatever their intent, they carry real weight for the Israeli economy – before Tuesday's election, and regardless of who forms the next government. In an interview with journalist Roy Katz, aired Friday, the prime minister said American military aid to Israel is coming to an end. "It's over. It's only a question of time," he said. Israelis should get used to no longer receiving tens of billions of dollars in U.S. defense assistance, he added, "because America has changed." That alone is remarkable. There is a growing recognition in Israel that U.S. military aid in its current form will have to change, and might end, as bipartisan support for Israel erodes in Washington. Netanyahu himself has spoken before about wanting to wean Israel off the aid. But there is a distance between that recognition and a sitting prime minister effectively announcing the end of one of the pillars of the U.S.–Israel strategic relationship. The current Memorandum of Understanding – $38 billion over ten years – runs through September 2028. It is embedded in a web of interests that includes the American defense industry, and Israel's diplomats in Washington work hard to sustain it. Israel's friends in Congress, operating in an increasingly difficult political environment, are still fighting to preserve the special relationship. When the prime minister himself says "it's over," that is a hard message for Israel's defense establishment, and for those in Washington still trying to help. And that was only the opening. "There could be sanctions, including banking sanctions," Netanyahu said. Israel, he explained, must prepare an economy capable of bypassing them. This is a different order of magnitude entirely. Some background is needed. In the world of international sanctions, comprehensive banking sanctions against a country are among the most powerful tools available to major powers. They are not import restrictions, consumer boycotts, or even arms embargoes. Broad financial sanctions go after an economy's circulatory system. Israel's banks depend on the global financial system: correspondent banks, clearing, credit lines, the ability to move money across borders. Without access to banks abroad, the Israeli economy stops functioning. And such sanctions don't hit only the banks. They hit everyone who banks with them – companies, exporters, importers, investors, employers. When foreign banks become nervous about a country's financial institutions, they tend to cut ties well beyond what the law strictly requires. In other words, a sweeping financial sanctions regime would push Israel toward the category of Iran or Russia. It would be worse. Iran and Russia sit on vast oil and gas reserves. Even under sanctions, they keep selling – mainly in Asia and parts of the Global South. Israel's economy is not built on commodities. Its strength comes from integration into the global economy: human capital, technology, research, advanced services. According to the Israel Innovation Authority, Israeli high-tech exported roughly $85 billion in goods and services in 2025 – 58 percent of all Israeli exports – and accounted for about half of the economy's growth. It is the engine of the economy, and it depends on foreign markets, foreign capital, and the free movement of money. Netanyahu did not say who might impose banking sanctions. A prime minister raising this possibility, in the same breath as forecasting the end of U.S. aid, should prompt immediate questions. Is he referring to European sanctions? American ones? above all: how did Israel get to the point where this is being discussed at all? There was more - and much worse.

“You have to understand what the mainstream is saying so you can refute it”:
“You can’t trust anybody. That means you can only trust yourself. And the only way to trust yourself is to consume everything.” Damn this guy should be a Bitcoiner. The whole interview is well worth a listen on the recent history of the CIA, especially post 9-11. youtu.be/t3FxH39oYsA?is=NFKu…

To all the trolls in the comments - I specifically said: remove the system and the ideology! NOT the people!
Removing Bibi from power won’t fix Israel as the Israeli secular elite seem to believe. Only removing the Zionist system and ideology from the Holy Land will fix the country.

An Eisenkot coalition is already full of racists. The father of the Dahiya doctrine, the former head of the settlers in the West Bank, the guy who called to starve Gaza and the settler. Tactics may differ, day to day issues may improve, but racism will remain.
Replying to @rmslim
Let me offer a few hints: an Eisenkot coalition will not have to cater to racists, ultranationalists or self-serving political blackmailers. It will not need a war with Iran to save its political life. It will include people who care about human life - of Arabs as well as Jews. So yes, we are likely to see some subtle changes.

In this clip, CIA whistleblower John Kiriakou—who served in the agency’s core Directorate of Operations—says a member of US military's Seal Team 4 told him that he'd just returned from a joint military exercise with UK and Israel 2 weeks before Kiriakou was speaking last month
Here is John Kiriakou, ex CIA. This is him talking about what Mossad to do CIA agents in Israel. Have a listen to the levels of impunity and derangement.

If the Zionist “liberals” were serious about “saving their country from Bibi” they would launch a massive campaign to partner with their fellow Palestinian-Israeli citizens to form a coalition. But the in-built racism of their Zionism prevents them from doing it.
The so-called “centre left” people in Israel are dreaming. Israel will re-elect Bibi - their war criminal back into to power. The uncharismatic former general Eisenkot doesn’t stand a chance.
