Texas Tech GM James Blanchard can tell within seconds who he’s negotiating with.
He told me one parent once called asking for $2.5 million for their son. Blanchard was polite, ended the conversation, and never called back.
He said it’s hard to blame parents because most simply don’t know how the business works.
That’s why one of his first questions is always, “Am I talking to a representative or a parent?”
The answer usually tells him everything he needs to know. ⬇️⬇️
