As an analyst, I covered @blockchaintp since its inception. From the outset, BTP had a clear value proposition–bringing the benefits of #blockchain to business– & founding team @duncanjw @kevin_odonnell capable of delivering it. Delighted to join & help them achieve their vision!

Inverness Caledonian broadcast games with a robot camera programmed to follow ball in their Scottish second tier matches. The commentator had to apologize as camera kept on mistaking bald linesman’s head for ball and simply following it up and down field 😂xitter.cf/JimMFelton/status/1321…

Cheers! Indeed, Peter from @Vertiv, Henry Hsu from @Legrand and Udi Paret from @ZutaCore will discuss what needs to change and why in mission-critical datacenter facilities, where innovation is not necessarily the first order of business. #451HCTS @451Research @SPGMarketIntel

Important: This is not a second wave, it’s a resurgence of the first wave, which is precisely why it "appears strongest in initially hit regions". See e.g Leicester, whose rate never went down, it remained high and then went very high. A second wave is something very different
hmm so far the European second wave appears to be strongest in initially hit regions, rather than affecting secondary centers less affected in the first round (as in the US). For instance, Catalonia and northern Spain hit more than relatively less affected southern Spain.

NEW: much has been made this week of Spain recording zero new Covid deaths for two successive days. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchéz called it "A success for all". Unfortunately it’s also nonsense. Story by me & @danieldombey: ft.com/content/77eb7a13-cd26… Thread follows:

With the ONS estimating additional excess deaths for the final week of May for age groups above 15, total UK excess deaths have likely reached 65 000 in the space of 10 weeks. That's matching the UK's civilian casualties, including the colonies, during World War II.
