Thoroughly depressing to see Labour buy into the government myth that uprooting our criminal justice system is the way to deal with the trial backlog. Properly funding the criminal justice system is the way to deal with the backlog.

As one of many uni students in the UK right now, the only thing that keeps me going is being able to walk to class, have discussions on the subject area I am passionate about and have real (though socially distanced) conversations with fellow classmates and teachers 1/2
Students and staff are united in asking the government to #MoveOnlineNow Students and staff join SAGE and @IndependentSage in highlighting risks to public health. @BorisJohnson must stop with mixed messages and listen to stakeholders, experts, and his own scientific advisors.

Although online classes attempt to replicate this experience (and I am super grateful to my department for their support when I had to self-isolate), it has its limitations. The in-person interaction is an essential part of many students’ university experience 2/2

Earlier this year, Leo the cat 🐱 entertained millions when he confidently strode in Morning Prayer and disappeared beneath Dean Robert's robes. On #NationalBlackCatDay we thought we would share the clip again ❤️ Give this post a like if Leo has made you smile!
