Almost a month in.
So much promise here.
I wrote an essay about my first "cosign" in tech, the price of being wrong, and some of the challenges of peer-to-peer credentials.
Rising Stars Need a Witness: indiethinkers.com/essays/the…
Excited to introduce @Cosign: the curated professional network for the startup community: cosign.co
Our goal is to create the following:
- A comprehensive startup directory of investors, companies, and operators, including what they worked on and who they worked on it with.
- Cosign graph: Who shaped your career? Who were you actually in the trenches with? Who would work with you again? Who thinks you’re someone to watch?
- Durable reputation: Great endorsements happen every day on X and disappear into the feed. Cosign attaches those signals permanently to people and companies.
- Discovery: Who are the best fintech angels? Which AI companies should I watch? Who are the best designers?
- Intent network: Privately signal “I’d invest in them,” “I’d hire them,” “I’d work with them,” or eventually even “I’d acquire this company.” Match people when interest exists on both sides.
Imagine if Wikipedia, LinkedIn, and OG AngelList had a baby. Though Cosign is a community, not a business.
In order to join, you need to be cosigned. Or you can apply directly.
David Booth and I started this idea 7 years ago but didn’t have the firepower to make it work. Now we do.
No one has really touched LinkedIn in 20 years. Excited to take a swing.

My Grok Bot teammate Jazz is running three Devin Cloud sessions right now, kicked off from the Devin CLI on its own computer. I just tell it what to ship. It splits the work, launches the agents, and merges when tests pass.

Hey there...currently working on lgtm.indiethinkers.com>> a platform for the best tweets in tech & build in public, for the community, by the community. It’s a cool way to give posts the attention they deserve..
• Startups for cheap space launches
• $15/hr workers + AI doing expert work
• Robots and robot parts made in America
• LLMs that actually write well
• Plaid for government benefits
• Financing for robots, GPUs and data centers
• Vertical foundation models
• AI for City Hall (permits, 311, inspections)
• Data center supply chain
• AI for air-gapped companies
• Own your model instead of renting it
The bottlenecks in AI are moving beyond the models.
We’re excited about startups building the hardware, infra, financial systems, and specialized software to bring AI into the real economy, from factories and data centers to government and space.

OpenAI's computer-using agents can now operate almost any app the way a person does, clicking and typing through software that never got an API, and the team building them says they're close to beating expert humans on speed.
Ari Weinstein works on OpenAI's consumer computer use products, and James Sun works on the enterprise side. Both were startup founders before joining OpenAI.
They join a16z's Seema Amble and Fabrizio Serafini to discuss what OpenAI's Astra model changed for computer use, the controls enterprises need for agents they can no longer watch, why computer use works as a universal API for legacy ERPs and finance systems, and why they think cheap software will push UI to get better and more personal.
0:50 What Astra changed for computer use
3:23 Consumer vs. enterprise computer use
5:43 How James runs his workday with Dots
8:06 When computer use becomes superhuman
10:01 How much autonomy to give agents
11:36 What agents mean for ad-supported sites
13:51 Computer use as the universal API
17:21 Getting enterprises to trust agents
20:22 Why the best use cases are the boring ones
25:37 Why UI isn't going away
32:38 Advice for founders building on agents
37:31 Making computer use feel coherent
40:57 Computer use's scaling moment

introducing opensourcealternatives.to
⌨️ type anything. it answers with the right open source alternative:
> a paid product by name (e.g. notion)
> what you need (e.g. privacy friendly website analytics)
> a problem (e.g. slack hides old messages on the free plan)
> a category (e.g. project management tools)
> something for your team (e.g. team chat we can host)
> a feature (e.g. kanban with self-hosting)
> a comparison (e.g. cheaper than linear)
📖 short story:
we started this in march 2025 as one of many seo experiments and built it on the side while shipping other things.
credit where credit is due, initially it was inspired by og @piotrkulpinski's @ossalternative (check that out as well)
this started working well this year, thanks to the shift toward open source and AI, and to writing content every week.
we rebuilt the whole thing in the last few months. new home is live today.
📊 stats so far
> 924 open source projects added
> 122,028 visitors in last 30 days
> 342,024 visits since april 2026 (since the revamp)
> 65%+ traffic from google
we want to make this platform the one stop to find the best open source alternative for your needs. lots of improvements in the pipeline.
check out opensourcealternatives.to and let us know what you think

Encore merged 29 PRs on lgtm.news today.
Using the Devin CLI instead of Cursor Cloud Agents has worked incredibly well. Has anyone else tried this?
