After a few months of failed tiktok experiments on my Poland-based account, I bought a new phone and set it up with US ip. Followed @alexcooldev guides & it works way better.
There's never been an easier time to learn a language. Online classes with Preply, watching vlogs, listening to audio stories, dissecting grammar and asking questions with AI. So much material and way more fun than a few years ago.
1 month of tiktok. Got tired of testing the algorithm so started some ads. Paid €200 for 300k views, 14k clicks, 250 installs, 0 revenue. Going to switch from forced paid trial to freemium.
2 weeks of tiktok, posting almost daily, so far nothing budged. Plenty of ideas left to try while SEO still going on in the background.
Finally got the new app approved & functional. Started posting some videos. Plan is to learn marketing via TikTok/IG while also doing the good old SEO.
Feel like tiktok is now spammed with hundreds of iterations of the same app/video format. Or maybe I'm my own vibe coding bubble. Either way, I'm working on a app too and will document how it goes.
$BKNG: don't see how AI agents can replace their relationship with 4 million properties, customer support (eg: cancellations), Genius program/discounts.
Meanwhile they have $21B buyback authorization (~15% of the company). Fw P/E ~16, 7% FCF yield. Not a steal, but attractive.
Getting a tutor is the way to go. Did Russian for 2y and recently switched to Polish. Not once was I looking forward to a lesson. But I kept booking them, did the homework, practiced a bit in real life and got to the point I could hold a conversation. Duolingo won’t get you there
Beautiful chart, especially if you went through the volatility pain of 2022-2023 $abxx

Probably my best Bloomberg interview so far, finally telling the full story of @abaxx_tech and why we exist:
1) to modernize market structure (real time #gold and USD as collateral for #LNG and energy in Asia — ie scaleable “defi”), and
2) getting commodities back to physical, and not just financial assets.

Gentoo Media.. ouch. -34% since last tweet. Nobody was raising concerns about it. Hope they turn the ship around, but the volatility in this sector has been brutal. $BETCO $CTM $G2M all more than halved in 1y.
I got asked about their other websites, so I'm posting more graphs. Obviously there are lots of money making sites I don't know about. However, seeing the overall decrease in traffic/FTDs, postponement of potential buybacks + persistent SEO risks.. I prefer to be out for now $G2M
My main concern with Gentoo Media after a so-so Q4 is this graph. The decline got steeper this month $G2M
$G2M CEO on M&A: "Growth in itself is not a goal. We are no here to build an empire where we get more and more people to be part of Gentoo Media. We are here to reward our investors and to make a more profitable business and a more cash flow generative business"
