About to land in Utah for the thousandth time, but this one hits a bit different because I'm here to watch Notre Dame play. 🏈✈️ Huge credit to BYU AD Brian Santiago and ND AD Pete Bevacqua. They took a simple intro last winter and turned it into a top 10 matchup, College GameDay, and prime time on ABC this Saturday.👏🏻 Honestly a full circle moment for a Catholic kid from Jersey who grew up dreaming about college in South Bend. And after 15+ years of coming out to Utah, getting to know the sports fans, and learning about BYU, I’ve always felt the two schools share the similar values and spirit. All that said… Irish by 100 #LeaveNoDoubt ☘️ (And Go Jazz + Mammoth!)

Some very exciting personal news! I am overjoyed to announce that I have accepted the position as the new Timberwolves reporter at the Minnesota Star Tribune! Excited to be joining a staff of incredible journalists, move to a wonderful city, and cover a wildly interesting team!

JANE HEDENGREN JUST BROKE PARKER VALBY’S NCAA 10K RECORD!!!! 30:46 FOR THE BYU ROOKIE!!!! 🤯🤯🤯 In an epic battle with New Mexico's Pamela Kosgei, it was BYU freshman Jane Hedengren who ripped off a big-time last lap to run 30:46 and BREAK the NCAA 10k record of 30:50 formerly held by Florida's Parker Valby! Kosgei's time of 30:49.99 also broke the former NCAA record and puts her at NCAA #2 all-time in the event. Eastern Kentucky's Edna Chelulei ran 31:33 (10k) for 3rd place while North Dakota's Jaydn Keeler clocked a time of 31:56 (10k) for 4th place.

Thinking about the amazing time we are in with BYU sports it’s time we as fans give Brian Santiago his flowers! He has made BYU basketball great for the last 20 years! KY doesn’t come to BYU if it wasn’t for Brian. In his first year with football we are in the BIG12 championship game (11-1). He has Kalani signed and NIL money ready to keep improving! This doesn’t just happen….As a BYU Alumni, Brian is the one that keeps us all connected to the program! His capacity to take care of all the alumni, boosters, etc is not normal. We are teed up for an incredible run. Be grateful for those doing the work and where BYU sports are right now! Go cougs!

The hero in this is Kalani and Santiago’s 20 year+ relationship. This doesn’t happen without those two being able to sit down through the noisiest of environments to come together on a vision for the future and what they can do together. Relationships matter. #GoCougs
