Just spent the last 7 days on the front lines of the vulnpocalypse fending off an active cyber attack on one of our products.
Some thoughts:
- Software factories are going to be required equipment for everyone. There’s just no way to keep up with the pace of highly automated adversaries without one.
- We were lucky because we had spent the last few months getting our software factory running well. It is nice to have for product development but proved to be absolutely essential this week.
- At the minimum you need to have a coding server in the cloud pre-provisioned with read only access to all your logs and all the services you depend on for observability. With that in place you are a prompt away from reasonably good situational awareness, ongoing monitoring with loops, and ability for coding agents to validate fixes against your actual, observed attack patterns.
- Shared coding server also unlocks multiplayer incident response where everyone can see every session and jump in as needed. Sharing session links that can be forked is much higher bandwidth than re-explaining things.
- You don’t need to be Ramp/Stripe/Uber scale to have a working software factory in the cloud. We are a team of 3. Ours is built with an @opencode server (thanks @thdxr!), a forked version of compound engineering optimized for automated workflows (thanks @kieranklaassen!) and a multiplayer agent in slack that handles crons (we have our own harness but pick your favorite here).
- To get our software factory up and running well, we had to stop all new product development for ~6 weeks and just focus on getting the validation systems working that enabled us to reliably shipping PR without human code review. This felt very painful in the moment but was totally worth the eventual speedup in velocity.
- KYC for @AnthropicAI & @OpenAI cyber programs is now easy and quick (at least for defensive access), but a day felt like a lifetime this week. Submit your app now before you really need it.
- Getting Mythos access unlocked a deeper level of analysis that helped us shift from reactive mitigation to proactive patching. Wish we had done this a few weeks earlier. Get started now!

This probably hits hard if you failed history in high school.
Hitler was a far-Right fascist whose party was named the National Socialist German Workers' Party to attract working-class voters.
Then he banned the Social Democratic and Communist parties, and sent socialists and communists to concentration camps.
Foursquare was a vibe back in the day. Goodnight and good luck 🫡
Foursquare was acquired last month. The outcome was disappointing. It's taken me a while to write this, but I think I'm finally done grieving it. Here are some thoughts on our final years, an effort to honor the team who helped build & maintain FSQ's legacy, and my attempt to finally get some closure. teendrama.substack.com/p/som…
This is a fun idea and piggybacks cleanly on some local AI tools I run for myself. Who has AI Agent feeds they would be interested in sharing and who would be interested in following @joemccann or other thought leaders via their agentic updates?

I told way too many people to go fuck themselves for this whole Bitcoin to not work out.

Being directionally correct, with size, 2-3 times a year, and having the guts to hold for the meat of the move…can completely change your life.
Almost everything else is a rounding error.
This is brilliant! Copied immediately
introducing FindMyWifePhone™️ my latest shortcut squarely placed on the pareto frontier. there is no easier & cheaper way to find your wife's phone.
"honey, do you know where my phone is?"
the fuck I dont!
"can you call me?!"
she keeps her phone on silent.
so i made this shortcut to help.
trigger = i send her a text with !ping in it
action = hey phone sets a timer for 1s
timer always works, we like to keep our phones on silent + dnd and we dont use apple watches. so finding each other's phones used to be a challenge. we both have this set up in reverse, and its worked well.
bonus shortcut = button in home screen widget to send !ping to my wife
(we also have one called !awaken which disables silent, sets volume to max & disables do not disturb in case of emergency)

Said he & other officers met with the Admiral of the Navy. They asked what was going on & he said he had no idea. Zero clear direction of from DoD, terrible organization, no idea of objective, no plan at all & no support. Just a total cluster & Mickey Mouse operation

In 2017 a wise man told me: “When you think it’s over, it’ll just be getting started.”
I think we’ll reflect upon 2026 as such a period for blockchains.
there are some really incredible charts forming out there, one I'd like to add to is near:native but not here. I started a position into the move around $3 but not any meaningful size unfortunately, just a starter bag. When this forms a HL will look to get a proper trade on and some targets up.

Hyperliquid open interest keeps hitting 2026 highs, $13.8 billion as of yesterday.
The USDC collateral base is growing right alongside it, now around $6.5 billion, up 36.8% from the start of the year.
