I've taught ethics of women's health @UCL_IfWH for the past 7 years: the right to autonomy, the importance of reproductive choice and the fundamental right to health care as enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Today is a dark day. Tomorrow we rise, and fight.
We speak different ethical languages. Those on the religious right speak in dogma. Our language, on the other hand, is suffused with suffering and lived experience. How can we explain that the world is too diverse to be ruled by religious edict? How can we make dogma listen?
