This is a manufactured controversy to platform an imperial apologist who said residential schools were essentially “humanitarian.” Here is a piece exposing Biggar and the residential school denialism’s transnational network: activehistory.ca/blog/2024/1…

This is a profound testimony of how faithful, intentional worship can reawaken the church's call to justice, compassion, & discipleship, while pointing the way toward a kingdom-oriented future. —Kevin Hargaden, Jesuit Centre for Faith & Justice Out now: tinyurl.com/dxyka8j9?utm_cam….

Nearly all of the speculation about AI is premised on the notion that intelligence is simply data at scale, that Mind is something that will be spontaneously secreted when we hit a critical threshold of Bigness. The problem is that that’s very obviously not what intelligence is.
Maybe this AI stuff is for real but every Silicon Valley guy promoting it sounds like a transparent con artist.

Crossway publishing a dyslexia-friendly edition of the ESV could represent a massive step forward in making the Bible accessible to more people. May more publishers follow their lead. I'm already incredibly excited to recommend it to dyslexic friends and church members.

Ok, nothing against the cartoonist or the posting. But what the whole #anthropocene trend does, and why it is funded by some oligarchs, is make it seem as if all humans are the problem, rather than men with actual names who make actual decisions to destroy the planet.

"Don't you realize that a time of truly dialectical theology has begun in which we cannot deal in maybes or hold back in reserve, but that now—at this moment—every single Bible verse screams that we are lost and damned sinners who must believe, believe, believe? 13/15

In his article "Disability contra Docetism," @danremps writes that "there is something about the focus on the disabled Christ that leads us to reject the allure of Docetism and move toward a more faithful Nachfolge of God incarnate." Read more here: press.palni.org/ojs/index.ph…

I always appreciate @danremps' writing & this is no exception. "A docetic Christ is one that can neither be crucified nor wounded."
Grateful to have contributed my essay “Disability contra Docetism: Following the disabled Christ” to this new volume of Vision.
