"How can the US chastise others for enabling conflict while continuing to provide unconditional support to Israel, regardless of the toll on human lives or consideration of whether it is abiding by the rules and principles of international law?" -@jbhavan straitstimes.com/opinion/the…

President @ZelenskyyUa has gained worldwide admiration for his leadership in fighting for Ukraine’s survival & sovereignty against the Russian invasion. It was my singular honour to meet him personally at the #SLD24 and to convey best wishes to his health & continued leadership.

Hu Haifeng—51yo son of ex-leader Hu Jintao—was promoted to vice minister of civil affairs
Moving to Beijing from his post in Lishui also means Haifeng can see more of his ailing father
IMO more evidence Xi did not plan Hu Jintao's removal at the Party Congress in 2022

And after a terrifying earthquake in Japan today, what is trending on twitter:
人工地震 (human-made earthquake).
Here's the start of one trending conspiracy theory.
The first few lines read like this.
"Mysterious explosion sounds in Noto Town on the 31st, with all news deleted. A major earthquake the following day. The Japanese are sheep who see this as a coincidence.
No wonder they do as they please with cancer drugs, antihypertensives, vaccines, artificial earthquakes, chemtrails (though I'm somewhat skeptical). They treat us like foolish experimental yellow monkeys."
Who is "they"---your guess is as good as mine. But one thing is clear the crazy conspiracy theory tweets are about about 31,000 while tweets about the damages are about 70,000.
The theory is drawing almost as much interest as the reality.

52 years later, I wrote Kissinger's obituary.
