Defence Officials gave detailed answered related to Agnipath Scheme. Q1. Are all Agniveers going to be absorbed after six years? Ans: Yes, all Agniveers will now be absorbed in the regular cadre. The first 25% will be absorbed after the first engagement period of four years, and all of the balance 75% will be absorbed (without any limit) after the second engagement period. The key criteria are that the Agniveer must be willing, physically fit and disciplined. Q2. What happens to the seniority of the 75% Agniveers who are not permanently absorbed after four years? Ans: Their seniority is protected. On becoming regulars, they will be placed immediately after their own batchmates who joined the regular cadre after four years. They will therefore not become junior to any subsequent batch. Q3. Has the scheme been rolled back? Ans: The scheme has not been rolled back. Only another engagement period of two years has been introduced, which creates a pathway for all Agniveers to be absorbed as regular soldiers after this engagement period.

While Musk lashes out at India's government to force Starlink into its market, he is using Starlink in Ukraine as leverage, disrupting military missions. India is right to resist: dependence on US-controlled networks invites political pressure and will destroy domestic programs

Oh ho!
❗️Last night, the operation of Starlink terminals in Ukraine was restricted. Connectivity began to drop when moving at speeds exceeding 160 km/h. As a result, a number of critical missions were disrupted. SpaceX likely took these measures at the request of the Trump administration. Also last night, when Kyiv was attacked by ballistic missiles, Ukraine did not receive intelligence regarding their launch— a failure that could have led to higher casualties. Ukraine did not attack Russian oil refineries, yet Trump has already begun imposing sanctions on my country. Meanwhile, sanctions against Russia have been eased.

No official US offer for the F-35, says IAF Chief ACM AP Singh. Sitting right beside the US PACAF Commander, he quipped: “Your people don't even let us go near the aircraft, and you talk about selling it to us”. A Russian offer for the Su-57 is pending evaluation, he said.

🚨 Starlink is not just internet. It brings security concerns. That is why Russia, China, Iran, and India are objecting to it. Ukraine ran the war on about 47,000 terminals. Soldiers used @Starlink to fly drones, pass targets, and talk across the battlefield. In 2022, Elon Musk personally refused to enable coverage near Crimea, fearing nuclear war. Ukrainian underwater drones heading for Russian ships lost signal mid-mission and failed. The Pentagon then started buying the terminals itself, so one businessman could not switch a military operation off. After the Iran protests, Washington quietly moved about 6,000 terminals in. Over 100,000 people stayed online after the state cut the normal network. Iran answered by banning it. Spying: death. Personal use: flogging and up to two years. The United States can turn coverage on or off, on @elonmusk or an American political call. In a future conflict, an internet company could open a channel no government approved.
Unfortunately, we are being blocked by certain oligarchs in order to maintain their monopolistic chokehold on the Indian people. You can guess who they are … This is a crime against the people of India!

How India is building power in Africa without building an empire. ⚠️ The uncomfortable truth: Turkey builds ״identity״, China builds dependency, Russia builds fear – India builds states. My new strategic brief via @EurAsianTimes. 🔗 eurasiantimes.com/indias-qui… This is not soft power vs hard power. It is capacity power vs dependency power. 🇹🇷 Turkey embeds itself through identity – schools, mosques, media, symbols. 🇨🇳 China embeds itself through scale – loans, leverage, lock-in. 🇷🇺 Russia embeds itself through coercion – security for obedience. 🇮🇳 India does something rarer: it advances its interests by leaving states in control. No bases. No flags. No identity export. 📍 Mauritius shows the model. No port concessions. No Indian branding. UPI and RuPay first. Regulation aligned, not replaced. Training alongside finance. Local institutions in charge. Mauritius does not look Indian. It works better. 🩺 Health, not summits: India supplies over half of Africa’s generic medicines. Legitimacy that is lived. ⚓ Security, not occupation: Anti-piracy off Somalia. Naval exercises with Mozambique and Tanzania. Capacity transferred. Sovereignty stays local. 📊 Numbers – big enough to matter, not big enough to coerce. India-Africa trade: ~$80–100B. Investment: ~$75B. 🇫🇷 Françafrique once imposed order through security and monetary frameworks – imperfect, but responsible. 🇹🇷 Turkey imposes identity. 🇮🇳 India imposes nothing. Africa does not need a new patron. It needs partners confident enough to share influence. India can credibly do so. #India #Africa #Sovereignty #Turkey #China #Russia #Diplomacy

What Washington Gives - and What It Takes in Return US military assistance to Israel is not aid. It is leverage. A framework that converts Israeli defence needs into American production, jobs, licensing, timing and veto power. Alliance language masks control. @realDonaldTrump said it plainly about Iron Dome, publicly telling Netanyahu to stop boasting because “we do it” and “it’s ours”. Iron Dome shows the sequence. Israel decided. Israel built. Diversion was pushed. Only after sustained operational success made it unavoidable did US funding arrive, with strings attached and narrative ownership. Cooperation became integration. The same structure governs markets and exports. Arrow 3 still required US approval after Germany chose it on operational grounds, while Washington offered THAAD to the same customer. “Selling into America” remains an illusion. Foreign producers are absorbed or excluded. By 2026, assistance stops being assistance. It becomes a veto mechanism. @netanyahu has spoken openly about the need to reduce Israel’s dependence on US military assistance. This is not a rupture with Washington. It is sovereignty. Whoever holds the key to the warehouse holds the decision. Returning the key means returning it to Jerusalem. India just threw down $5.4 billion to crash the global shipbuilding party. For Western yards already struggling against Asian dominance, it’s another wake-up call they can’t afford to ignore. For European shipbuilders, this is terrible news. The continent’s yards have already retreated from standard commercial vessels, bulkers, tankers, containerships, to specialised niches like cruise ships, ferries, and naval construction. They survive on high-value complexity, not volume. The fundamental question is whether shipbuilding remains strategic. Both the US and Europe have recently committed billions to maintain domestic semiconductor and EV battery capacity, treating them as too important to outsource. India is betting shipbuilding belongs in that category, as strategically vital as chips or batteries. If India succeeds in establishing itself as the world’s “fourth pillar” in shipbuilding, Western governments face a choice: accept further decline of their maritime industrial base, or commit the sustained support needed to remain competitive. gcaptain.com/indias-5-4-bill…
