This is disturbing.
Facebook is running surveys asking users if posts on Election day about protestors, violence at polling stations, or COVID-19 spreading at polling stations, would make them more or less likely to vote. Anyone have thoughts on why FB is doing this and how they'd use the data?

Replying to @valkenburgh
As cash transactions disappear, we'll all end up on somebody's list. And given the state of the world, the lack of legal protections, the abuse of police discretion, the general disregard for human flourishing and libery from elites... I don't want to be on their lists.

Having control over ones personal data is fundamental human right and vital for the 21st century. Historians will look back in amazement how easily we gave away so much of ourselves to deceptive mega corporations #datarights #facebook #HumanRights
Facebook is now worth $650 billion largely due to the monetization of our data. How much of that value are users seeing? At this point Facebook should be paying users for the privilege of using our data.
