Pretty excited to watch this Timberwolves team. LaMelo Ball + Anthony Edwards are among the highest usage backcourts ever. They may also be the highest three point volume shooting backcourt ever too. What I like most for the Wolves is that this type of backcourt optimizes Gobert by increasing how specialized his role is. The more outside pressure there is, I think the more valuable Gobert can be inside with orbs/dunks. LaMelo can also throw lobs which is great. At least in theory, I think this offense is going to flow extremely well relative to what it looked like with KAT + Gobert or Randle + Gobert out there.

they are holding for the last shot of the quarter. he could have actually attacked mitch here and possibly dumped it off to duren. really, it's the near center-level offensive rebounding that is keeping him afloat on offense if you can't space, you better learn to board.

People really forget Paul George is one of the best defensive forwards in NBA history. He’s been criticized for his offensive struggles at times, but his consistently elite defensive impact as a disruptive 6’9 forward who can basically do everything on that end is undervalued. The elite comms and rotations of a guy like this in an already great defense is going to take them to another level. I really think this system is a perfect fit for what he brings to a team. This Queta/Tatum/PG defensive backline is a pretty awesome combination. Crazy length and versatility. With Derrick White on POA duty? 😲 This Boston team is gonna be pretty scary this year.
