I love this graphic. Such a tidy way to think about it.

Sensing a lack of dedication to the vision and mission... not sure he'd be a critical team fit at this key juncture in the team's history...

Armon and I founded a company valued in the multiple billions that employs over 1,300 people that all work from home. Me, my co-founder, our CEO are all in diff states. So this is a self-serving take from someone who provides office space.
WeWork's CEO tells WSJ there is an easy way for companies to spot their most engaged employees: They’re the ones who want to come back to the office. “Those who are least engaged are very comfortable working from home,” he said. on.wsj.com/3w71lst

this I think is incredibly wise. one thing I've started doing over time is, if someone asks me for an opinion, I will have them state their's first. if it's not really an opinion but just words, I won't give mine at all.

Used bookshops are not for buying books cheaply. They're for discovering books you didn't know about.

Totally agree. Sure, hard work, prepare, etc, but LUCK. Luck 100% played a part in my success. Here's the thing though. Now that I have some success, *I'm* gonna *BE THE LUCK* for as many people as I can. That means RT's, warm intros, job referrals, hey you should talk to, etc.
I am suspicious of any successful person who refuses to admit that a significant factor in their success was luck.

I've been wondering how reading technical books is different from reading books for fun. TLDR : we're all reading in 2017, Austin is in 3017. teapawt.net/austinrochford/status/…

Another valuable comment from the subreddit that resonates loudly with me: “doing the master is to understand that you don't know anything, and doing your doctorate is to learn the others know nothing as well” teapawt.net/databozo/status/929384…
From comments: “I had a math major for undergrad and I'm not even inherently familiar with all the math and such used in ML...” teapawt.net/treycausey/status/9293…
