My dumb theory:
Mickey didn't wanna fire DA in 2024 because he knew nobody would want the job in 2025. But Gayle forced his hand, and Kellen was the only option that year.
I think he wanted to keep DA for one more year and then see the HC options that were available in 2026.

There is nothing Kellen Moore big gobble neck ass could tell me to motivate me...so I know those grown men be pissed...all that snorting and breathing...😂😂😂😂😂

When do the Saints land? I need people to head straight to the unemployment line....like immediately...
Kellen basically Joe Lombardi but lucked into a Super Bowl team and got elevated beyond his abilities

The Kellen Moore thing is just a slow death to the end of the year. Nice person but that doesn’t equal being an NFL HEAD COACH, he’s not that, not even an OC. I know the job was tough but this not even about wins & losses, just not a HC. The people who hired him the real culprits
😭😭 yall saying the man need to stop listen to coaching? Man end this season already 😭😭

Nah he gotta stop getting happy feet that’s an anticipation throw based on what u see in coverage before the snapped … he should’ve threw it instead of listening to what he’s being coach which seem to be “14 yards is a lot let jsut get some yards for a field goal” loser shit

The Saints never even bothered to interview Mike McCarthy before hiring his understudy Kellen Moore. Now he's led the Steelers to a win against them.

Gotta take that shot and anticipate that throw. At the same time it’s a trickle down affect of what’s happened throughout the season and getting crushed.
The positive is he gave us a chance to score points and stay in the game. Hindsight the missed FG makes the play hurt more.
It wasn't a panic throw lol.
Replying to @datboywolf
That was a panic throw. It was one of the only negative traits he had coming out of college. It ok to admit he may have messed up on a play or 2
He could have, but it was a low % throw regardless. You miss it, then its 4th and 14 and you punt. Instead you check down and get 7. The 4th down is manageable.
I understand the split second decision, you can tell he wanted the shot.
Been happening for weeks now. Clock sped up

I think a lot of this is lack of trust in his o line and their blocking scheme. He’s starting to try to take the safer play and get rid of the ball quickly

The broadcast didn't do him any favors, they showed what was on the field after he had already rolled out and checked down.
Even in the moment I thought he made the right decision

@askmetostay323 @datboywolf man why are they even talking to him? From #9 overall defense in 2025 to #28 this year and they give him a rest day!! This team man @Saints #FireKellenMoore #FireMickeyLoomis
