NEW: UK Foreign Secretary @Ed_Miliband has told Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov that he and his government are responsible for killing innocent civilians, condemning Thursday’s attack on Dnipro railway station
Speaking directly to Lavrov at a meeting of G20 foreign ministers in the US today, Miliband said:
"Let me say this directly to the Russian Foreign Minister: we all know who the aggressor in this war is. Let's talk about what happened at Dnipro railway yesterday. Only yesterday your drones attacked and killed 15 people. And there are countless examples like this of you killing innocent civilians throughout this war. We all know you are the aggressor. We all know you started this war four and a half years ago with the full scale invasion of Ukraine. "
"And Putin thought then he would win this war easily. But you are are not winning this war. Thanks to the courage of the Ukrainian people and the solidarity of countries round this table, you are not winning. If you had the courage to tell the truth and to do what is right you would tell Putin that he is not winning this war and will not win."
Well done @Ed_Miliband .

Any American company providing aid and comfort to Russia will be written about by the press and made known to Congress.
Many of us in Congress will make it a point to highlight any company that buys the potentially illegal blood diesel from Russia.
Proceed at your own risk.

“I would like someone to explain to me how one should react to the killing of several dozen passengers at a railway station in Dnipro. How does one react politely to the bombing of cities, to the use of ballistic missiles against thermal power plants? How is one supposed not to protest against this aggressive war, which has already claimed over a million lives?”
— Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, addressing calls from the Pentagon to soften rhetoric toward Russia.

🔥 HOTOKE IS CLOSED! WE DID IT, TOONIACS!
“We see, we do not forgive.”
We started this Toonie with a $10,000 goal to help for @hotoke_shinei and the “Embargo” UAV unit of the 164th Radio Technical Brigade get back on their feet after an attack destroyed equipment and left personnel injured.
Today, we reached our goal and surpassed it! - $10,011 raised thanks to YOU!
A huge thank-you to our incredibly generous anonymous Fella, whose €500 match gave us the kick we needed. And all the Tooniacs who supported this Toonie, from the original Toonie Tuesday to all the Fiver Fridays that followed, THANK YOU. Every toonie, every fiver, every share, every repost, brought us to the finish line.
🇺🇦 One mission. One incredible community. One fully funded Toonie. WE DID IT! TOONIACS ROCK!
It is Toonie Tuesday!
“We see, we do not forgive.”
This Toonie Tuesday we are working with our good friend Hotoke (@hotoke_shinei)
– a courageous soldier in the 164th Radio Technical Brigade. Together we will be collecting for a3D printer, EcoFlow and laptop, SUV and urgent repairs for 2 vehicles.
Our goal is $10k. This unit was recently hit by orcish attacks. Equipment was destroyed and personnel were injured – they now turn to us to help them get back on their feet.

Dear @SenBlumenthal please continue working with your bi-partisan colleagues on an urgent solution to provide PAC-3 interceptors, and other air-defense assets, to Ukraine in time for this winter.
A strong decision by the U.S. State Department – authorizing Ukraine’s purchase of Patriot interceptors to counter Russian ballistic missiles. Five hundred PAC-3 interceptors is a substantial number, and very soon – this winter – they COULD make for a highly effective defense package. However, it has been stipulated that deliveries may begin ONLY IN A FEW YEARS. We are asking our American partners to find a solution for the time when there is a real danger and a real need to use PAC-3 interceptors.
Right now, the Russians are attacking our energy infrastructure every single day. In just these past two weeks of October, there have already been more than 30 Russian strikes on critical parts of our power grid. It is right now, even before the beginning of winter, that Putin has started carrying out his operation to attack the systems that sustain life in our cities and communities. The targets are electricity, heating, water supplies, bridges, and life in our cities in general.
We did ask our American partners to provide Ukraine with a winter support package – at a rate of 100 Patriot interceptors per month. Five hundred missiles would be enough to protect our skies over the coming months – precisely when it is so important for Ukraine to be in a strong position in negotiations and for Russia NOT to succeed in breaking life in Ukrainian cities and communities.
The United States, our European partners, and other partners around the world have sufficient stocks of PAC-3 interceptors in their warehouses. Providing them to Ukraine right now – in the winter of 2026–2027 – and replenishing our partners’ arsenals LATER, in THE FOLLOWING YEARS, through this production already contracted and paid for by Ukraine and our partners would be the right approach. And it is entirely feasible.
We are grateful to President Trump. Importantly, we recently discussed PAC-3 interceptors with Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Ukraine is grateful to the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Administration overall for granting this authorization. But we are asking for decisions that can guarantee the protection of lives not the day after tomorrow or sometime later, but at the very moment the threat is there – when Russia is killing and destroying. I thank everyone who stands with Ukraine!

If you told me two years ago that the US President would pressure American companies to buy fuel it doesn’t need from a Russian terrorist state still waging war in Europe, I would have said, so Trump gets reelected? What a humiliation.
NEWS: Trump admin officials want US companies to accept the Russian diesel currently crossing the Atlantic.
But American firms want nothing to do with it. They’re very scared of the legal and reputational risk, industry sources tell me and @jstein_sun

As we at the @KyivIndependent have been reporting for months, Russian offensive efforts have largely stagnated and Ukraine is now pushing Russian forces back in many areas of the front.
Russia is not winning this war.
Ukraine is making modest gains on the front lines—wiping out much of Russia’s advances this year. Unable to hold the front, Russia is pummeling Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure. Register for free to see what this means for the conflict economist.com/interactive/gr…

Well, Fellas, apparently defending Ukraine is against X's rules now. 💀
We got slapped with a 7-day ban for our stance on the war. You know, the war where we're literally the soldiers defending our own country.
Anyway, we're back, but the algorithm isn't exactly our fren.

No matter how carefully Russia prepares its propaganda show in Oleshky, even its own Z-bloggers seem shocked by reality 😂
Russian Z-blogger Romanov Light reports:
🇺🇦 Ukraine — 17 buses.
🇷🇺 Russia — 4 buses.
That’s more than four times as many buses heading towards Ukraine as towards Russia!
So here’s a question: after four and a half years of Russian occupation, do the people of Kherson region still want to return to Ukraine?
Apparently, they were so thoroughly “brainwashed by the Bandera Nazis” that even years of Russian occupation couldn’t change their minds 😂
But something else interests me.
Why are Russian Z-bloggers allowed to report from the scene while access for other journalists, including accredited media, remains restricted?
Who decides which journalists get access? And are all media outlets really operating under the same conditions?
If this humanitarian operation is so transparent, why not allow independent reporting?
Or would the Kremlin’s carefully staged humanitarian PR campaign fall apart without control over the cameras?
LOL.
And yes, the number of buses doesn’t establish the exact number of passengers. But the Russian blogger’s own report already raises some very uncomfortable questions for Russian propaganda.
As usual, everything Russia touches turns into a complete clusterfuck 😂

OLESHKY: THE VIEW FROM THE RUSSIAN SIDE
I didn’t even bother translating this propaganda nonsense…
In the footage published by the Russian side, there appear to be relatively few people leaving for Russia, especially compared with the video released by Ukraine’s Ombudsman’s Office.
What stands out instead is the large number of uniformed personnel, escorts, and people who appear to be municipal workers.
And this raises a question: what exactly is Russia trying to show us — civilians in need of humanitarian assistance, or its own carefully staged “humanitarian operation”?
This is precisely why we must analyze not only what Russian propaganda tells us, but also what the footage actually shows.
Of course, the number of people visible in a video does not establish how many civilians have left or remain under occupation. But comparing the footage reveals important differences in how this operation is being presented.

Ukraine has its own sanctions policy.
TL;DL 🇨🇦🇬🇧🇺🇦 retweeted
Regarding refinery strikes. There has been an established pattern. Whenever Ukraine showed restraint, or halted strikes on refineries, Russia simply continued its strike campaign against Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, and continued to strike civilian targets in cities.
