That was some seriously low quality Championship dross, summed up by the angry Maghoma celebration after a quite brilliant strike to get #NCFC out of a hole and level. Until then, a total mess, so many backwards passes and devoid of confidence.
McLean, Makama and Musaba needed.
Can only hope that releases some tension & allows confidence to return. Chaotic match & rode their luck but deserved win for #NCFC overall.
Maghoma much better, McLean makes a huge difference as we know. Stacey works his arse off. Musaba dangerous. Fresh start? We’ll see.
My first #NCFC pod action in quite a while, thanks to the @BTBPodcastNCFC lads for inviting me on a few weeks back. Mad to think it’s 4.5 years since I covered my last game for the EDP.

Seriously scrappy and a rubbish referee but ultimately #NCFC can’t really complain, didn’t find the rhythm or composure. Heck of a defensive effort from Stoke though.
Maghoma will be desperate to get back and into the 10, neither Slimane or Schwartau nailing it.
A welcome winning feeling but fairly ragged display from #NCFC, will have to be far better against Burnley.
Stacey and McConville the pick, some decent stuff from Wright and Mattsson, a brilliant moment for Crnac - but little else to get excited about. Progress.
All credit to Millwall, they were excellent. A reminder for #NCFC of the intensity needed. Every player needs to hit reset, could have been 5 or 6-0, was that poor.
McConville & Mattsson cannot be starting games on the bench, much better better than Field and Darling #CanaryCall
Well the only #NCFC positive is that it’s only 1-0 to Millwall, just have not matched the hosts’ work rate.
McConville and Mattsson needed straight away, spine of last season’s success too disrupted. Darling a decent defender but doesn’t have the passing game.
Handball, yes, but #NCFC only have themselves to blame for not winning that game.
Thought the early-season lack of sharpness was obvious throughout. Mattsson a prime example of that, wasn’t quite on it.
Clearly should have won, very frustrating #CanaryCall
A shame to see the great Sam Neill has died. If you've never seen Hunt for the Wilderpeople, get on it, great film #majestical

My word, this is a sensational spectacle. The intensity of a derby, an unbelievable atmosphere and massive desire from every player on the pitch. Well worth waking up for!
Subs were always going to be hugely important, now even more so, have to adjust immediately #England
An utterly incredible #England effort, every single player emptied the tank and gave their all. A crazy game - how are we supposed to sleep after that?!
Bellingham will rightfully get the plaudits but Gordon was superb too, Pickford awesome, Rice on a booking since first min!
Magic. What a player, what a goal. Brilliant to see Buendia fulfilling his top level potential after a nasty injury so nearly knocked him off course.

Another odd but impressive #NCFC win. Kovacevic will rightfully get plaudits but Maghoma was exceptional for an hour.
Great moment for Gibbs after persevering as he looked the square peg in the round hole that he was on the left.
Clement a top motivator, with all the injuries.
A top-10 finish looking pretty likely now, which is remarkable work from everyone at #NCFC
Really looking forward to seeing what next season holds after a few more tweaks to the squad to fit Clement’s needs.
Could well be a few clubs interested in in-form players now though…
