On Sept 3 2016 after having 3 months of many doctors appointments I rang for an ambulance to rush Andrew to hospital. Just 62 days later he passed. Only 30yrs old. His death certificate said Mastestic Adenocarcinoma from Colon (Stage 4 Bowel Cancer) #misdiagnosis #latediagnosis
Ten years ago today, my son stricken with cancer married his sweetheart from his hospice bed. They reduced his medication so he could say his vows cleary. A brave lad who can never be forgotten. They were man and wife for 8 days until death did they part. So sad.❤️💔🥲

I think the fact that 65% return the kit is a good indicator as to why we opt out rather than opt in.
Bowel Cancer is a particularly unpleasant way to go and is often treatable, caught early enough.
The NHS costs us £21 million per hour, so in the grand scheme of things the unreturned kits arena drop in the ocean.

Yulia Vakser Daunov from Be'er Sheva ended her shift at the Nova Music Festival on October 7th at 6 AM.
As Yulia began heading home, the rockets came blasting out of Gaza. Yulia turned around to make sure she could help the people at the Nova.
Under heavy fire, she kept police commanders informed, reporting casualties, sending locations, describing the terrorists, and urgently requesting reinforcements.
She was 37 years old and had two children to care for at home, but as she said in the voice message to her mother: "Mom, I have more than 2,000 people to get out of here."
Yulia was one of 15 police officers who helped evacuate more than 2,500 festivalgoers.
As she fought to save the young people at the Nova, she sent her husband, Samuel, a final message: "Take care of the children. I love you."
Yulia was murdered by Hamas terrorists. Her family waited 11 days for official confirmation of her death.
We will never forget her courage and the many lives she saved.

Maya Goren was a beloved 56-year-old kindergarten teacher from Kibbutz Nir Oz who was murdered during the Hamas-led attacks on October 7, 2023, and had her body abducted to the Gaza Strip
Maya originally moved to Kibbutz Nir Oz from Ramat Gan to build a life with her husband, Avner Goren. For decades, she worked within the kibbutz's education system, dedicating her time, heart, and energy to local families. She was known for always volunteering her own free time to support parents and had even served as a nanny for infant Kfir Bibas, the youngest hostage abducted on October 7
After 293 days, Maya’s body was recovered from Gaza and returned to Israel on July 24, 2024. She was laid to rest in Nir Oz beside Avner.
