Smiling because yesterday Council enacted the Get Out The Bike Lane Bill I introduced alongside @councilmemberkj!
This legislation reaffirms that bike lanes are for bikes by prohibiting stopping in bike lanes citywide.
When vehicles stop in bike lanes it makes everyone unsafe. And it discourages Philadelphians from using one of the most affordable and sustainable transportation methods.
I am immensely grateful to Council President Johnson for his leadership on Vision Zero!

The evening Trump was impeached for inciting insurrection, but before the Senate vote on whether to convict him, he vowed that those who "engaged in the attacks last week will be brought to justice." That is, those he now calls "hostages" & "political prisoners" & vows to pardon.

My oldest son just turned 20. I watched @chrislhayes’ report on this 20 yr-old who was burned alive in Gaza & wept.
We all want to keep our kids safe,
but I cannot make sense of a security that incinerates other people’s children.

We came together to deliver student teacher stipends for the first time in our Commonwealth’s history.
Now, more than 2,000 student teachers across Pennsylvania will get paid for their work teaching our kids — we’re taking a real step towards tackling the teacher shortage.

Many conservatives now accept with bored acquiescence the near certainty that Trump, if elected, will dismiss both federal indictments against himself. Yet it would be an abuse far greater than the Saturday Night Massacre that once shocked the nation...

True #edequity goes beyond school funding because funding alone has barriers
- It's costly to equalize high-poverty schools
- Political realities limit funding redistribution
- Funding alone can't fix the lack of advanced teachers
we need funding equity AND integration
