An incredible event for an incredible organization, beautifully hosted by two absolutely incredible people. Some of the finest folks I’ve ever met came together for an extremely important cause: rare pediatric cancer research with the Isabella Santos Foundation. It was an honor and a privilege to be a part of Carolina Charm, and it was one of the proudest moments of my life getting to stand beside these amazing men and women. 9 years ago today on October 17th, 2017, I had the honor of a lifetime. I performed live at the AOL Studios in NYC for my dear friend Gretchen Carlson’s official launch of her New York Times best-selling book, "Be Fierce." I wrote a tribute song of the very same name, "Be Fierce," to honor her message and her mission. Looking back at these photos and videos brings back such beautiful memories. Gretchen’s courage in fighting for others is such an inspiration, and today she continues that vital work through Lift Our Voices to end forced arbitration and NDAs. Looking back at a monumental moment from October 14th, 2021: the formal announcement of our partnership between SpiiderGriip® and global icon Pitbull. This week officially marks the 5-year anniversary. Today marks the 5th anniversary of America's Big Deal. 5 years ago tonight, I took the stage with two of my dearest friends, The Dawsons, to represent the company I built with my partners, SpiiderGriip®, at the historic Newark Symphony Hall in New Jersey. We were live on the USA Network in front of millions and had a total sellout in just 2 minutes and 30 seconds! It will go down as one of the most precious and memorable moments of my life, and the most incredible day in our company's history. Huge thanks and all the love in the world to the legendary inventor who created this show, Joy Mangano. She gave us this opportunity and we are forever grateful. 5 years ago last night (October 9, 2021), we were special guests of our partner, Pitbull, for his show in Charlotte, NC. That unforgettable night was just days before the biggest day in our company’s history. On October 14, 2021, we made history on national television as the first-ever presenter on America’s Big Deal, introducing SpiiderGriip® to the world. I will always be incredibly grateful to the legendary inventor Joy Mangano for that opportunity, and for everything she did to champion and lift up independent entrepreneurs on that stage. What a special night that was and what a special time in our company's history. Personally, it was a truly wonderful chapter in my life. Never will forget those days. Such a great night with my son at Middle C Jazz watching one of our favorite people and his band play. Stefan and his family mean the world to us and we were so grateful to be their guests last night. If you have not seen HOUSE OF FUNK play, you definitely need to! Absolutely incredible!! Continuing to push forward each and every day. Age is just another year. It doesn't mean you ever stop the work. In the gym to keep everything physically and mentally in check so my mind stays sharp when writing new songs. That being said, I'm so excited about the music I've been writing lately. I've had some great inspiration recently. I'm also really excited about my upcoming 11th album, which will be released in 2028. I’ve been selected as one of the 2026 Carolina Charmers which means I am actually going to be one of the bachelors on stage for the Isabella Santos Foundation’s "Carolina Charm: Finding Love in the South" on October 16. The event is taking place in Charlotte at The Revelry (at Camp North End)! It’s a philanthropic, dating show-style evening hosted by Shep Rose and Salley Carson from Bravo's hit TV show Southern Charm. Each Charmer is challenged to raise $10,000 for kids fighting rare pediatric cancer. Proceeds will directly support ISF’s work benefiting children and families through Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte and MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital in Charleston.
