This is huge, historic news. Open primaries legislation has come up in PA many times since 1995 and NEVER before come up for a House committee vote. Amid the dysfunction in Washington, and the political exhaustion of the American public, there is hope. Thank you @repscottconklin

It’s nuts that our next mayor could be someone who receives 25% (or less!) in the Democratic Primary. This only makes the job of the next mayor more difficult, as he or she will be perceived as lacking a mandate.
