Natural Direct is now live.
Agents are becoming real participants in the economy. That means being able to move money as freely as people and businesses do.
With Direct, your agents can now pay anyone, any way they need to be paid: ACH, Wire, and Realtime (powered by RTP and FedNow) with mailed paper checks, international wire, and more coming soon.
Same @naturalpay wallets, same controls, the right rail programmatically chosen by your agent at runtime*

J.P. Morgan Chase, Bank of America, Citi, and other major U.S. banks are beginning to block AI agents. I think that is going to be one of the most consequential decisions they make for their balance sheets and ability to endure.
I wrote about why agents will fundamentally reshape banking, how money moves, and which institutions win over the next decade.

Natural is rolling out a full-stack PSP over the next few weeks, allowing agents to accept payments via voice, payment links, or programmatically. If you're interested in getting early access shoot me a DM
Imagine telling your parents you build wallets for robots. We're hiring. @naturalpay

Today, @sarxhxu is joining our marketing team at @naturalpay from Cognition.
We’ve been recruiting to add to our marketing team for a while, but I’ve been incredibly selective. It’s tricky to find someone who can marry technical marketing, product marketing, brand, and storytelling. Sarah is one of the few people I’ve met who has that combination.
Increasingly, you’re seeing decision-making shift from humans to agents. Whether that’s procuring software, booking restaurants, or moving money.
What happens when our job is no longer putting up billboards targeting founders in San Francisco, but instead getting your Muse agent to choose Natural?
That’s Sarah’s job.
At the same time, I want to be driving towards that future because of how much more human the world can become, not towards some dystopian, hyper-technological future where technology becomes the point. That’s an ethos Sarah and I share.
It’s going to be an exciting year ahead.
Natural is about to enter its most consequential four quarters. There’s a massive wave coming, and either we paddle fast enough to catch it or we don’t.
Either way, we’ve spent the last year preparing for what we believe will be the most dramatic change in financial services in decades.
Very excited to have Sarah here for it.

This was crazy to watch unfold.
@naturalpay is sponsoring Something Big, and Khalil asked if he could pay through his agent.
It emailed mine, and the two of them handled the whole transfer (substantial $) themselves.
The whole thing happened in under five minutes.
Got to watch @mattshumer_ have his magic moment with @naturalpay last night. Really special

So, @naturalpay just crossed 20 people.
We’ve never lost a candidate after extending an offer. We’ve also never negotiated total comp.
Given how important recruiting is to company building, I wanted to share a few things we’ve learned about how that happens.

Being in the flow of funds and monetizing on GMV or TPV is everything for companies building agents. Just wait
A few predictions for how Instinct plays out:
- Stays free. The massive $$ isn’t for training models, it's for subsidizing growth. Free is an enormous advantage in B2C but needs lots of capital. SV has knighted Instinct, and soaking up that capital makes it near impossible for another startup to offer a free product at scale. Meanwhile, Instinct figures out how to become sticky (data access, nfx through group chats, etc.)
- Takes over your phone. Unlike the labs, Instinct doesn't need to win knowledge work (required to fund training the next generation of models). It just needs to win personal/social. That narrows the product surface a LOT. Thought experiment: if you didn't have a job, could you run your entire life from your phone? Probably. Most people do this. Imo Instinct feels undifferentiated atm despite the VC glaze, but relentless focus could let it pull far ahead. Eventually, instead of using most apps you ask Instinct. On-device models accelerate this: serving costs approach zero while increasing access to phone data.
- Monetizing via transactions. Agentic commerce is inevitable. Even today, a primary use case for Instinct is to buy stuff: making appointments, booking flights, ordering groceries, etc. If Instinct becomes THE personal agent, it knows what you need and when. Scale -> leverage. Businesses will give up a % to transact with it. Apple Pay does ~10T in transaction volume btw.
Will be fun to see how this tweet ages
I just paid for X Premium and I have 5 followers. Three of them might be bots.
Anyways.. never been a social media guy.
I joined @tryramp as employee ~100 and its first tech recruiter. I've helped grow this engineering team from the ground up and have had a front-row seat to one of the wildest rides in tech.
Here to finally start documenting it and to connect with the incredible people who made it happen.
Drop a follow if you're in the Ramp orbit. I'm trying to find all of you. 🙏
