"Join us, brothers and sisters. Join us in the shadows where we stand vigilant. Join us as we carry the duty that cannot be forsworn. And should you perish, know that your sacrifice will not be forgotten... and that one day, we shall join you." Thank you, @bioware, for all the unforgettable childhood memories. RIP.

Batman, Fan-Art Finished another full-pipeline study: Batman, based on the beautiful concept art by Fedorov doma. The main purpose of this project was to further improve my hair and mouth bag creation process, ID workflow, black outlines in the final render, gloss/specular workflow, as well as several technical aspects of baking and UVs. Huge thanks to Fred Arsenault for the great course on these topics. Software used: ZBrush, Blender, Marmoset Toolbag 5, Substance Painter 3D, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, TopoGun, PureRef. Someone pointed out that I, along with the original team, are listed first in the credits for WoW Forever. I dunno what to say, this is deeply moving and they didn't have to do that. The new team is cooking so hard on it and deserves the credit for bringing it back. Thank you guys for preserving the legacy.

First of all, congratulations to @Blizzard_Ent @Warcraft and every single team member who brought these two projects to life through their passion and hard work. Thank you with all my heart. You brought me back to the kind of magic I experienced during my childhood, something that became a light recall point for me through many challenges. I played a bit of WoW Forever, and seeing all those crazy people back in general chat instantly put a smile on my face while I was grinding with my Orc Warlock and Undead Paladin (I love the vibe of that new combination). I genuinely think this project has every chance to outperform Retail in its current form. You guys absolutely nailed on that front. The biggest surprise for me was the Warcraft III DLC, Forsaken Kingdoms. The way it plays, the RPG elements, the story, the updated graphics, I don't even know where to start. I've been having an absolute blast with it all weekend, and it will definitely become my go-to relaxation zone before WoW Forever launches (alongside the new @thewitcher DLC from @CDPROJEKTRED ). If you're an OG WoW player like me, get back into WoW Forever. You won't regret it. It really feels like the Classic+ we've all been waiting for. And even if you've never played WoW before, I honestly think this is one of the best times since 2004 to experience this mind-blowing fantasy world, a world that can give you memories you'll carry with you for the rest of your life. Thank you all again, and I'll see you back in Azeroth!

Man, it was hard to sleep last night, I was so excited. Beta has been... crazy. The craziest numbers I've seen in 17 years working at Blizzard and almost 8 years on classic. We've got something really special here.

Imagine adding high elf refugees from W3 on the Alliance side and undead elves on the Horde side. How many extra hours of work would that take, which wouldn't be worth all the extra buys from that alone? Not to mention an absolute W with the audience.
Choose your path as Azeroth's newest playable race: the Skyborne 🪽 🔮 Travel the Arcane road with the Alliance OR 🍂 Master the Elements with the Horde

I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.
