MSPs and parliament staff sometimes find reporters asking questions in the corridors of power "intimidating" and must therefore be protected by sticking media in a pen. Jesus Christ. Get a grip. Also, the implication that Holyrood reporters are some sort of feral pack is absurd.
Presiding Officer responds to letter from Scottish Parliamentary Journalists’ Association, which represents reporters at Holyrood.
Says pen is temporary and decision was made after ‘concerns raised from MSPs, staff and other building users who have found [media huddles] difficult and, at times, intimidating to walk past, or through’.

🚨 HOLD ON: #GortonAndDenton Poll??
"@FindoutnowUK, 143 sample size"
1. FON is Reform's favourite pollster.
2. 143 is a tiny sample. Electorate is 76,000+
So sample needs to be nearer 400, not 143!
Probs unfunniest thing I’ve ever seen

Jamie Hepburn, the SNP campaign director in Hamilton,
says "We never suggested it was entirely a two horse race".
Errrr...
Wow what a result in Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse. SNP's attacks on Davy Russell for refusing to take part in debates really failed to work.
Think Scottish Labour are overestimating how many people would a) actually watch this debate and b) use it to decide how they will vote.

An “exclusive” that’s actually an exclusive on the front page of the Scottish Daily Express today.

The @ScotParl has voted to approve the recommendation of the @SP_NetZero to appoint @liusaidhbeattie and @CalumMacleod07 as Land Commissioners and Rob Black as Tenant Farming Commissioner.
We look forward to the official confirmation of our new Commissioners.

🚨 Early signs are looking good for Donald Trump, but it's important to think about the so-called "red mirage".
Republicans tend to have advantage in rural areas, with Democrats more in urban ones – with the former typically declaring earlier👇

Absolute bullshit. Anyone with a mind in Scotland/uk knew Trump would win.. same as when Labour won comfortably

This sums up blind myopia of political/media classes in UK and USA. This guy has been in politics for years and it’s probably all he thinks about, yet evidently he knows nothing about it.
UK and USA have been turning their back on democracy for 30 yrs, this now accelerating.
Journalists would like the US race to seem as close as possible - it suits their appetite for suspense and @afneil ‘s desire to prod the establishment. But this won’t be a close race decided by a “couple of thousand votes”. He is wrong. And Kamala Harris will win.

"This election started as a dead heat and it's got even closer. You're talking about a couple of thousand votes," says @afneil to @MrHarryCole
