My post about spraying my plants to protect them from pests really upset some of my followers๐คก+๐คช
Many didn't even read the part where I mentioned that I'm using organic products. But I'll talk about that another time.
Today, let's look at WHY I'm spraying in the first place.
And one of the reasons is currently getting a little belly rub from me๐คฃ๐ฌ
Meet the classic spider mite.
A lot of growers break out in a cold sweat when they discover these little friends on their plants...๐ชด+๐ท๏ธ=๐ชฆ
But here's the thing: just like many other pests, spider mites can be managed without resorting to heavy-duty chemicals. I've been doing it this way practically every growing season.
I'll explain exactly how a little later๐ฑ
P.S. A $300 microscope is an absolutely amazing piece of equipment. It never lets me get bored and gives me a chance to explore the microscopic world.
Honestly, it's fascinating! ๐๐ซ

The White Widow is the only plant that I haven't had to bring indoors as the weather drops.
Even the pistils are still growing!
They haven't withered due to wind chill, like on all the other plants.
It's getting really frosty now, and it smells beautiful.
All sour and skunky๐ฆจ๐ชด
