Hypothetically speaking:
If it really came down to it Dak would likely be the one requesting a trade out of Dallas. Not the other way around
𝗥𝗨𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗦: There have been "murmurs" that this could be Dak Prescott’s last season with the Cowboys, per @CSimmsQB
"There’s been murmurs that Dallas is at the end of their rope with Dak, things better turn around or he ain’t gonna be the QB there."
Schotty hired a lot of young coaches to his staff. Some with a high degree of pedigree. That's why it's mind boggling to me why they are still so inept on both sides of the ball
JPJ and Downs got injured in the 2nd half and didn't return. Parker didn't trust the back end to hold up without those two on the field. So he played more zone coverage
Why did the Dallas defense seemingly fall off a cliff after the first half? Simply put, they completely abandoned what was giving them success.
In the first half, Arizona converted 4/9 on 3rd & 3+. Dallas showed mug looks on three of those plays, and the result was an incompletion, INT, and sack. Without the mug, Arizona converted 4/6 on 3rd & 3+.
The second half? Dallas showed zero mug looks on 3rd & 3+ and allowed Arizona to convert 4/7.
The turning point is even more telling: through 13:00 left in Q2, Arizona was just 1/5 in this situation, with three of those 5 plays being mug looks. But from that point on, Dallas abandoned the look, and Arizona converted 7/11 on 3rd & 3+ the rest of the way.
The mug looks were disrupting Arizona on money downs. So why did Dallas move away from a pressure presentation that was producing results?
The Cowboys had barely over 250 yds of offense vs the Cardinals. The offense was dogshit most of the game. Stop looking at the box score. If an NBA player scores 30 points but it took him 30 shots to get there did he have a good game?
