So I wanna talk about the Kreider/Price thing, since it's on my mind today, for obvious reasons. I think it's turned into a bit of a reductive argument, and the standard talking points getting rehashed over and over miss the mark a bit. 1/?

Harrow kindly sat down with our magazine editor Beth Tabler, and feral superfan Krystle Matar, to talk about short stories, Ancel, spite, and a love of storytelling. Read the full interview Belle m below:

Honestly this was a big issue with the Wheel of Time TV show. In the books, the various nations had vastly different identities and feels to them. In the show, they’re all the same because they’re all melting pots.

Another reason I'm against excessive immigration because if every place is diverse, no place is unique. You actually lose diversity in the world.

Replying to @NickZararis
@NickZararis hits on something huge here, and maybe something that makes Perreault uniquely positioned to succeed. Perreault spent the last several years NOT being the “best” player. He was on a line with Smith and Leonard and perceived as lesser than both. (1/2)

But what makes Perreault special is his vision, his brain, and his ability to create plays. Despite being “less” than Leonard and Smith, Perreault was the one with the USNTDP points record. And now he gets to be “less” than Laf and Zbad, but his ability can thrive

I don’t think it’s necessarily a “skill” issue, it’s that reading carries a greater moral weight. Pirating a book, even for those who are inclined toward pirating, feels wrong in a way that pirating a stream of a football game or an episode of Breaking just doesn’t
Andrey@zbogus77Oct 14
This is a lie. Watching sports for example also got progressively more expensive, it’s just people are more inclined to find illegal streams than illegal epubs even though the latter is actually easier. It’s actually insane how bad the average western reader is at pirating

The defensive improvement for this team comes screaming off the page here. Only four high danger me chances for a very talented Tampa team is impressive.

Ukrainian-developed FPV drone simulator “Remote Reaper: FPV Drone” has officially left Early Access, with version 1.0 now available on Steam. Developed in collaboration with military pilots, the simulator focuses on combat FPV drone operations and introduces several features in its full release, including armored vehicles with modeled vulnerable zones, electronic warfare effects that can disrupt video feeds and control signals during the final stage of an attack, and a customizable drone editor. Version 1.0 also adds configurable weather conditions, custom mission editing, real-time flights with other pilots and a racing mode. Players can use FPV hardware or a gamepad with realistic flight physics, or opt for simplified controls using a keyboard and mouse. #RemoteReaper #FPV #FPVDrone #DroneSimulator
