After an extensive rehabilitation project, the Dupont Circle Fountain is flowing again. Now properly balanced and waterproofed, the fountain will run until cold temperatures required it to be winterized. #WashingtonDC

Steve! if you get the chance get a tour from @dcdesigntours, went to DC last month (1st time) Pam and I toured the history of Georgetown and the Exorcist! Don't forget to get your reader card from the @librarycongress and look for their cafeteria, there be tunnels there
Great story we cover on our Iconic Capitol Hill tour!
After years of renovations, Union Station reopened to the public. Union Station had seemed doomed in the 1970s when railroads were in decline. Congress approved the $181 million renovation project in 1981 to restore the station to its former glory.

We’ve been on cherry blossom watch here at @librarycongress, waiting for our 100-year-old cherry blossom trees to bloom. It is looking beautiful today.
We are home to two of the original group of 3,020 Yoshino cherry trees given to Washington, DC, in 1912, by the city of Tokyo.
Such a fun bunch on our DC driving tour yesterday!
We are ending day 3 of Orientation Week with a DC bus tour. Thank you @dcdesigntours! #mirzayan2023

This is a great thread all about one of my favorite architectural styles!
