*stands up* My name is David and I fucked up. In 2013 I turned off my desktop GPU miner because I was only getting a couple $BTC per week with Slush Pool. I will not make the same mistake this time. *goes back to mining solana:oreoU2P8bN6jkk3jbaiVxYnG1dCXcYxwhwyK9jSybcp*

Respectfully, $ORE’s reason for existing is precisely why so many of us advocate for it so fiercely: a Bitcoin-like asset, native to Solana. That’s a compelling reason to exist.
Replying to @lesabrefomo
agreed, it's lacking a reason to exist

Who pays for proof of work? Not the miners. They spend fiat on electricity, then sell what they mine to keep the lights on. The cost moves, quietly, to everyone holding the token. ORE was born with proof of work. @HardhatChad explains why it had to change, and how virtual mining plugs the value leak so what miners spend flows back to holders.

In solana:oreoU2P8bN6jkk3jbaiVxYnG1dCXcYxwhwyK9jSybcp and @solana we trust.
Three mining pools hold a majority of Bitcoin’s hash rate right now. Over the last 7 days, Foundry had about 26.4% of network hashrate, AntPool 19.2%, and F2Pool 18.2%, which is roughly 64% combined. In solana:oreoU2P8bN6jkk3jbaiVxYnG1dCXcYxwhwyK9jSybcp and Solana we trust, not 3 megapools.

One year ago today, ORE introduced virtual mining on @solana. Mining no longer required specialized hardware or an electricity arms race. Anyone could compete for newly issued ORE, with the additional incentive of accumulating unrefined ORE. A year of iteration and refinement later, the principle remains: fair distribution, open participation, and a monetary design that rewards patience. All you need is a Solana wallet. An excellent article on solana:oreoU2P8bN6jkk3jbaiVxYnG1dCXcYxwhwyK9jSybcp -- read this now if you haven't delved into what ORE is and where it's heading. Your grandchildren will thank you.

You can mine $ORE by simply minting an NFT to join a mining DAO. The Party below is currently minting at just 0.05 SOL each and is run by the current top Founder on the site whose previous Party is earning over 2 ORE / SOL deployed!
The Top Founder spot is currently held by @Starship_Fronk thanks to his "Time in the Mines" Party that has been earning more than 2 ORE per SOL deployed! His new Party is Time in the Mines 2 and is minting now for just 0.05 SOL. Join the Party! ore.party/timeinthemines2

🎥 As Solana brings traditional assets like stocks and gold onchain, ORE is taking the opposite approach. @ORE is a Solana-native store of value, mined not sold and bought back with its own revenue. Why does this matter during the tokenization supercycle? 👇

I think the biggest part of today's announcement is being overlooked... $ORE just activated an entirely new revenue stream. The protocol now has two sources of revenue: 1. Mining Revenue 2. Reserve Revenue (new) Over time, "Reserve Revenue" could surpass Mining Revenue.
More productive liquidity in the ORE Reserve. The Reserve now allocates half of its stablecoin deposits to USDv from @solomon_labs. USDv generates native rewards without staking or locking assets, allowing the Reserve to earn on its stablecoin liquidity while maintaining buy side support for ORE.

ORE mining revenue has outgrown buyback capacity. Over 3,100 SOL ($330K) has now accumulated in the Protocol Vault, with mining activity driving revenue beyond what its randomized 5 SOL deployments could spend. To keep pace, each randomized deployment has increased from 5 SOL to 7 SOL, accelerating the deployment of this accumulated SOL toward ORE buybacks and the ORE Reserve.

ORE is a store of value protocol built on Solana. We believe in growing alongside our Solana community and helping it thrive. That’s why we’re building partnerships with as many Solana protocols as possible. You’ll hear more about these integrations and partnerships soon. Together, we’ll grow and prosper.

Congratulations to @willdxyz for taking the top spot on the ORE Party Top Founders leaderboard. You can follow him on ORE Party by selecting the Star next to his name. This will automatically notify you when he starts a new Party so you can benefit from his expertise.
This @oreparty leaderboard is giving me the old Minemaster competition vibes! For those who missed it, it was a mining competition sponsored by @Zedge_ORE we did earlier this year. Thank you for building such a nice product @dchapman Lets see how long I can last up here.

Imagine if Bitcoin's protocol was able to take the money spent on hardware and electricity and instead use that to buy a basket of assets that backed $BTC via an on-chain non-sovereign wealth fund while utilizing a much fairer form of mining. That's @ORE.

This is why $ORE is the most elegant, fair distribution protocol I've ever seen. It is designed to be a SoV that actually stores value.
What if you could design a store-of-value asset from first principles? That’s exactly what $ORE is doing. Some genuinely innovative primitives are taking shape. It’s all there in the open for those paying attention. @HardhatChad
