#CARTA is participating in the Peer Learning for Emerging Researchers’ Knowledge and Advancement (PERKA) II Stakeholders Convening underway in Nairobi from October 6 – 9, 2025.
The convening brings together partners to co-create a shared vision and actionable strategies for strengthening and sustaining support for Early Career Researchers across Africa. Opening remarks were delivered by #IamAPHRC’s Director of Program, Synergy, @amveyange, who underscored @aphrc’s mission to transform lives through research, and its three pillars—evidence generation, capacity strengthening, and policy engagement.
At the meeting, #CARTA shared insights and lessons learned from the program’s work in strengthening postgraduate training, research leadership, and institutional capacity.
PERKA II, supported by the @CarnegieCorp and the @NRF_News, seeks to deepen understanding of what drives success in supporting emerging researchers, identify barriers to progress, and outline actionable strategies to strengthen research ecosystems across the continent.
