We talk a lot about the worst men because we have to, because of what they choose to do to women & girls.
Itβs so important to keep talking about the best men who value & appreciate the women in their lives & appreciate the support they get from the men in their families. π
Harry Kaneβs words to his family, One of the most beautiful #BallonDor speeches ever: π€
All those years, the sacrifice, taking me to training, coming to watch me play all around England... There was never any pressure to become a footballer. It was always about working hard.
Who is this for? I want a serious government not a bunch of overgrown teenagers trying to βout ladβ each other. This doesnβt impress me at all. In your efforts to appeal to Reform voters youβre alienating serious people, many of whom have been voting Labour for decades

Evidence from the Covid Inquiry is now overwhelming β @MattHancock's failures during the pandemic led to thousands of avoidable deaths.
Removing Hancock from the Privy Council would be a small step towards accountability.

Am I right in thinking energy companies will still make massive profits? Why is the state funding this?
NEW. The Β£100 energy payment will be paid via council tax system (likely into your bank account) from January 2027 for all in Council Tax Band A to D. England only so far, but other UK nations are getting funding to do it.
There is also a Β£100m available for people who will still struggle regardless of band.

The audacity of the men critiquing Harry Kanes wife when they are sitting at home with spotty arses, reeking of divorce and hairlines that look like a toffee apple rolled in a carpet.
This is obviously welcome, but how is it being funded? Is this another case of the state funding private companies profits?
NEWS ENERGY PAYMENT: Β£100 payment to all households in Council Tax bands A to D for England (and funding for same in other nations). That's 20m homes.
Translation: This is the support for the huge rise due in January price cap. Its expected to be 27% up. Which equates to roughly Β£100 from Jan to March alone.

Harry Kaneβs wife is the latest woman targeted by online abuse, mostly by men.
They feel entitled to judge, abuse, degrade, tear apart their appearance and humiliate.
Then they wonder why thereβs a male loneliness epidemic π

The electorate should never forget the Tory government caused thousands of avoidable COVID deaths, partied during lockdown, enriched their friends via VIP lanes & squandered taxpayers money on test & trace, HS2, migrant hotels & made us all poorer by their Brexit & Truss budget.
The PM is pumping toxic positivity with his talk of βlevity and hopeβ, leaving the country and its people vulnerable. Weβre grown ups @andyburnham, stop infantilising us! Johnson did this in 2020 because he didnβt want to be unpopular - look how things turned out for him
The national resilience moment that very nearly barely happened:
A huge amount of work has gone on behind the scenes to plan for the "Be Ready" rollout, which was first trailed during the dying days of Sir Keir Starmer's government.
Andy Burnham inherited the project as well as leadership of the much-promised but minimally-delivered national conversation on defence.
Yet he appears to have chosen not to speak out on the launch of the new readiness campaign despite its national significance.
Even Dan Jarvis, the security minister, who is leading on resilience, stayed away from journalists on Thursday, instead just publishing his ministerial statement and sending out a written post on social media.
This lacklustre approach was met privately with disappointment among members of the resilience community.
The concern - rightly or wrongly - is that it creates the impression that preparing the country (every post code!) for the possibility of any crisis, up to and including war, is not a top priority for the government.

The media have ignored the Covid Inquiry outcome. All those deaths directly caused by Johnson and Hancock ignoring advice.
They need banging up. But we are moving on. Because the media say we should.

Why have the deaths of over 43,000 care home residents at the hands of inept politicians gone off of the news media so quickly? Shouldn't we be hearing about at least two people being taken into custody by now.
BREAKING: Covid inquiry chair, Baroness Heather Hallett, says that action to protect care homes came too late causing it to "spread like wildfire".
