Movies. Comic books. I mostly just reply, mostly tweet into the void https://teapawt.net/t.co/h50H4osghN https://teapawt.net/t.co/2BK7OW9eXb

Finally having a nearby theater with a film projector has me thinking stupid things like “I Play Rocky is showing on 35mm, should I see it?”

Gender essentialist culture war bullshit, but “woke”
The first novel I ever loved was the survival classic Hatchet, but recently I’ve learned that a *lot* of women despise this book, and see it is as something they were forced to read in school to entice the idiot illiterate boys in their English class. I dove into that tension!

Matt Mercer performs Ganondorf like he’s doing a Clancy Brown impression, which just makes me want the real thing

You’re just smugly acting like you’re correct even though you haven’t said anything at all of substance. Why is normal in quotes and what the fuck does that even mean? Go play in traffic

They do the exact same stuff if you’re the type of person who likes ospreay: someone who only cares about big moments and spots while not caring at all about character work or the connective tissue that make matches truly great. Fuck off

I have my own eyes and brain, and they both violently reject everything ospreay does in a ring. You’re out here defending him and you don’t even know how to spell his fucking name you blithering dipshit

Why is every single ospreay fan so scandalized by the idea that some people think he sucks? He’s the champ! You won!! Shut the fuck up!!!

I like Fletcher a lot, but he’s exactly the type of wrestler that’s going to go along with Ospreay’s bullshit. That Full Gear match might be atrocious

Early Ocarina of Time impressions: Graphically pretty, but sterile, in the way a lot of modern games are The cutscenes are not a positive addition It’s still OoT, which means the gameplay itself is still good

it feels like an embodiment of the "AEW is full of heatless spotfests" criticism. more than anything else they do, the b&g matches walk the fine line between that school of thought being completely ridiculous and totally valid

My expectations were already low considering just how much I didn’t like most of the wrestlers on one team, but sheesh. They really gotta get these things under 30 minutes to restore some of the urgency that classic War Games matches had

Highly recommend getting married and going on a nice honeymoon. Do not recommend returning from said honeymoon to find a mass on your dog, indicating that his cancer has returned

1. Who cares if a celebrity is mean to a child (or any fan) 2. This is another great example of people commenting while not knowing anything or bothering to give a cursory glance at a wikipedia page

This happens a lot with the so-called “low-arts” (wrestling, comics, games, etc). People love to fall back on external validation because there are limited sources to teach them how to engage critically with their chosen medium

None of those pitches would be thrown in an actual game and every instance of contact would be an easy out
