A thread on what's happened at @afcwimbledon, drawing on a few years experience working on flooding.

We urgently need donations to keep these vital sessions running.

If we truly wanted to learn the lessons of Grenfell, we would stop treating housing as a commodity and start treating it as a fundamental human right.

Few have done more to call attention to the scandal of poor quality, damp, mouldy and dangerous housing in Britain than @Kwajotweneboa. He has championed tenants and shone a light on poor management. It was a pleasure to attend his book launch this evening.

England haven’t been convincing so far, but without players born outside the UK or with at least 1 parent or grandparent born abroad, we wouldn’t still be here. And today, we’d be down to just 3 players.

Great meeting with Housing Minister @mtpennycook today and discussing the role social housing can play in kickstarting economic growth.
We look forward to working with the new government to deliver on its mandate to build the social and affordable homes we urgently need.
Let’s go……!!! 🏡 🏠 #buildmorehomes
