Week #4 of building @NeuralMiles in public: Just one month of building, and we are ready to deploy on testing sites!!! To get a sense of what is needed for real sites, we successfully tested digging a specific area via tele-ops. Updates: a. Completed digging an area via camera feed to understand operational issues b. Benchmarked latency from different locations c. Simplified hardware designs d. Signed 2 NDAs for site deployments and business outreach Failures: a. Tried tele-operating from the US but faced problems, so we need to iterate! Tele-operating machines from labour-abundant geographies will provide an immediate remedy to constrained operations in many western countries without high capex needs, while building a solid platform to build autonomous algorithms with the data collected. Would really appreciate intros to companies involved in mining and construction excavator operations! If you are following our journey and can help, our DMs are always open. Except the fact that @deepboliya fell with his laptop while testing 🙃, it has been a great week of learning! NeuralMiles(EF S26) #robotics #startup #physicalAI #autonomy #construction #mining

Week #3 of building @NeuralMiles in public: Tele-operated an Excavator from our Office, Kilometres Away!!! GTA in real life? We controlled an excavator using a real-time camera feed! Progress: a. Tele-operation over long distances b. Latency and communications network benchmarking in progress c. Talking to potential customers to understand their use cases and concerns d. Signing our real-site pilot deployment deal. This sets the platform to deploy virtual operators from anywhere on the globe, preventing project delays due to operator shortages while providing a safer, more comfortable environment for operators. It’s a stepping stone towards our vision of autonomous excavators, making them capable of accepting commands over the Internet and creating a data flywheel for future progression. If the idea of safer operations and access to a global pool of operators for your project resonates with you, or could help anyone you know, we would love to connect! Our DMs are always open :) #robotics #PhysicalAI #construction #mining

Bengaluru-based NeuralMiles has made a full-scale excavator remotely operable with an Xbox controller in just seven days. The startup also completed a digging-and-dumping cycle using the excavator, marking an early step towards automating heavy machinery used in construction and mining. #neuralmiles #robotics #deeptech #constructiontech #miningtech

new toy to play with!! . . (p.s. emerald green is the coolest colour, finally no black and white parts)

Thinking about what controlling an excavator across continents might feel like
🚨 Bengaluru-based NeuralMiles (@NeuralMiles) made a full-scale excavator remotely operable with an Xbox controller within 7 days, then completed a digging-and-dumping cycle. Their goal is to make excavators teleoperation-ready in under an hour, with full autonomy later.

After building autonomous race cars @iitbombay 🏎️, I am now building in the Physical AI space @NeuralMiles, this time for heavy industrial vehicles Would love to connect with people building in a similar domain🚀
