ok so I've been vibe coding a lot lately, mostly just learning and breaking stuff then PHP2Shell dropped yesterday, saw how bad it was and thought "wait, I can actually build something useful for this" so I did. took me like 4h 1/ it's called PHPeek, a tiny browser extension you open a site and the icon tells you if it's running a PHP version exposed to PHP2Shell: 🔴 likely exposed 🟢 patched 🟠 runs PHP but hides the version that's it. one glance 2/ made it fully open source bc a security tool you can't read is kinda sus lol it doesn't send anything anywhere, no tracking, no data. just reads headers your browser already has. <200 lines, go read them github.com/phpeek-ext/phpeek 3/ submitted to Firefox + Chrome Web Store tonight, both in review rn 🤞 not gonna pretend I'm some security expert, I just thought this was useful and wanted to ship it instead of sitting on it feedback, bugs, roasts all welcome 🫡
Call me paranoid, but be extra careful visiting ANY web site in the next few days, as some web admins are not always up-to-date with security patches. Two vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619) reported for PHP, the web programming language, affecting servers running popular apps like WordPress and Magento, with patches released October 21, 2026 after details leaked early. Exploitation was confirmed in the wild soon after disclosure, prompting quick WAF protections and patching by IT teams, as unauthenticated attacks could turn visited sites into vectors for credential theft or device exploits. Stay SAFU!

v1.2 just dropped now it protects your card and passwords on hacked sites too, not just your wallet PHP2Shell is at millions of attacks now, full thread 👇 xitter.cf/degenmaya/status/21133…
PHP2Shell is the biggest web bug of the year. attacks started 4 days before the patch, millions of attempts now, and PHP runs ~70% of websites so I built a free extension that protects your card, passwords and wallet on hacked sites 👇

Two critical vulnerabilities have been identified in PHP, a widely used programming language that powers websites and web applications. These vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619) could allow malicious cyber actors to remotely execute code in PHP core, potentially compromising sensitive data and networks. The FBI urges organizations to take the following steps now: ➡️ If an immediate update is not feasible it is recommended that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. ➡️ Immediately update affected PHP installations following the guidance on php.net. Inventory where PHP runs in your environment, prioritizing internet-facing systems and vendor products that bundle PHP. ➡️ Monitor web servers for suspicious activity, including PHP processes unexpectedly launching command shells or downloading files. Ensure appropriate process-monitoring capabilities are in place to help identify potential exploitation. ➡️ If you find signs of compromise, isolate affected systems, preserve your web server and PHP logs, and report it to your local FBI field office or ic3.gov. Those reports help us identify the actors involved and warn other organizations before they become victims. For the latest information, follow PHP’s announcement on php.net, CERT-EU Security Advisory 2026-018, and CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog.

🔎 check any store before you even open it 🔑 on exposed sites, a heads-up before you type your password + everything from v1.1: seed phrase shield, wallet drainer check, fake captcha protection

free, open source, zero data. it runs in your browser and phones home to nobody github.com/phpeek-ext/phpeek… (store update in review) send this to your parents. they're the ones buying candles from sketchy stores 🫡

ok v1.1 is out, been up all night shipping this 😵‍💫 next up, for the non-crypto people (yes, your parents too): • Card Guard: blocks card skimmers on hacked stores • Password Guard: warns you before logging into an exposed site • Check any site before you even open it but first… sleep building it when I wake up github.com/phpeek-ext/phpeek

update: v1.1 just shipped 👀 now it doesn't just check the site, it protects your wallet: blocks drainer signatures, wipes seed phrases, kills ClickFix full thread 👇 xitter.cf/degenmaya/status/21131…
PHPeek v1.1 is out 👀 v1 told you if a site was exposed to PHP2Shell. v1.1 assumes the site is already hacked and protects YOU. tested it on my real wallet 👇

been vibe coding this between other stuff and learning a ton about how drainers actually work if you're in crypto, put it on your main browser. find a bypass? open an issue and I'll fix it 🫡
