Hey
(with the intention of X-raying our entire relationship/practice over the last decade, staging it with 14 dancers, 6 actors, 3 engineers, live musicians, into an 80-minute performance in November at a major museum in NY, live-streaming it globally and calling it Act III)

You know something real is in the works when several of your collaborators mention that they are having ideas in their dreams about the show ▪️

I grew up in my family's antiques business, surrounded by objects that had already outlived generations.
They made me wonder if something created today could ever carry the same weight of time. That's where the idea for 𝐅𝐔𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐓 first took root.

It feels surreal to finally share this news:
The world premiere of Human Unreadable Act III will take place in November at The Whitney Museum of American Art @whitneymuseum curated by Christiane Paul @ChristianePaul2. This live multimedia performance is the final act and culmination of Human Unreadable, our generative choreography work unfolding in three acts since 2023. Act III is an autobiographical evening-length work examining negotiations between the body, ambition, technology, and our relationship.
The performances will take place in the Whitney's Susan and John Hess Family Theater on November 19, 21, and 22.
Holders of Human Unreadable #2-#101, your choreographic scores will be performed within this show.

Röntgen took the first ever human X-ray, of his wife Anna Bertha Ludwig's hand, on 22 December 1895. After seeing the ghostly image of the bones in her hand for the first time, she reportedly exclaimed: 'I have seen my death'.

Human Unreadable: Body not included (2026) is a new performance by Operator that exposes the choreographic infrastructure of their work Human Unreadable. The work deploys the outputs of the Human Unreadable algorithm as the raw material for a live performance the algorithm specifies but cannot itself perform.
