Me: ChatGPT with Code Interpreter, visualize a four dimensional shape in a way I can understand, use an animated GIF. Don't use a tesseract.
AI: Sure, here is a 4D hypersphere, divided into 3D "slices" like an MRI of a body is 2D slices (Its neat explanation in next tweet 1/2)

I've developed software for over 22 years now, which is way over half of my lifetime, both professionally and as a hobby.
Here are some of the most valuable lessons I learned along the way:

What many sw engineers don't realize:
The majority of jobs do not hire you to write the highest quality code or produce the cleanest architecture.
They hire you to solve their business problems very efficiently. Sometimes this means high-quality code. Sometimes not at all.

I've been on over 1000 plus engineering interview loops in my career.
I can confidently say that the Whiteboard interview is flawed, in the best case.
And In the worst case, it's harmful and biased.
Here's why the Whiteboard Interview is bad for hiring 👇

On projects: Done is better than none. It's easy to set expectations so high you never finish. Sometimes "done" is enough. Ship then iterate.

There are two major parts of engineering: (1) challenging problems that require research, trial & error, and flashes of insight to accomplish and (2) raw hours of grinding to get something done & you know exactly how to build it. Both are often required to build something great.
