I'm Building Something I Wish More Creators Understood. I have been thinking a lot about what I want this personal brand to become. And I've realised that I don't just want to create content for the sake of posting. I want to build something meaningful around an idea I strongly believe in: Influence Beyond Virality. Here's why. There are people creating content every day, getting views, gaining followers and putting themselves out there. But when you ask them what they want those people to remember them for, what problem they solve, or how their content is supposed to create opportunities for them, they struggle to give you a clear answer. And I think there's a bigger conversation we need to have. Because getting attention is one thing. Knowing what to do with that attention is another. I believe creators, entrepreneurs and small businesses deserve to understand more than just how to get views. They need to understand storytelling. How people think. Why people pay attention. What makes someone trust a creator. How to communicate the value of a skill, product or service. And ultimately, how to turn an online presence into something that creates meaningful opportunities. That's the space I want to explore. I'm Dennis Lartey, a Ghanaian creator, engineering student and entrepreneur(as long as the definition is someone who dont like peace and loves to solve problems) I'm also building my own brand, developing my skills, experimenting with content and figuring out how to turn what I know into something valuable. I haven't figured everything out. I'm not coming here to pretend that I have. But I am committed to studying, testing ideas, sharing what I learn, documenting what works, being honest about what doesn't, and getting better at the craft. So this page is going to be more than motivational quotes and random content tips. You'll find: - Behind the scenes: The actual process of building a personal brand, developing ideas, creating content and navigating the challenges that come with it. - Valuable breakdowns: Lessons from successful creators, brands, campaigns, businesses and people who understand the psychology of attention and influence. - Practical strategies: Storytelling, hooks, positioning, audience building, content creation and monetisation. - My own experiments: What I'm testing, what I'm learning, the mistakes I'm making and the lessons worth sharing. - Bigger conversations: Human behaviour, culture, communication, ambition and the ideas that shape how we think and make decisions. But there's something bigger behind all of this. I want to contribute to a generation of African creators and entrepreneurs who don't just know how to attract attention, but know how to build something valuable with it. People who can communicate their ideas, develop trust, create opportunities and build businesses around the skills and knowledge they already possess. I want more people to realise that their knowledge, creativity and experiences can become valuable assets when they learn how to communicate and position them properly. That's the cause. And I want to build towards it publicly. So, if you're a creator trying to become more intentional about your content, a professional building something outside your 9-to-5, or a small business owner trying to turn your online presence into actual business opportunities, I think you'll find something valuable here. Follow me. Not because I have all the answers, but because I'm doing the work, studying the process and sharing the lessons along the way. Come for the ideas. Stay for the journey. And let's build something meaningful together. This is Influence Beyond Virality.

I learnt this about communicating your value the hard way. Bookmark this and come back to it.🔖 Why are people not buying, even when your product or service is good? Sometimes, the problem isn't what you're selling. It's how you're communicating its value. Learn how storytelling, clear messaging and content marketing can help people understand what you're offering. #SellingOnline #ContentMarketing #Storytelling #Influencebeyondvirality

The path less traveled sucks. I won't lie, I don't always feel motivated but there's no choice in duty. You just have to show up and do your thing.

One of the most relief things a young man my age can do is take up responsibility. I didn't say take care of your girlfriend.

You don't need to pretend you've made it to build a personal brand. You can document what you're learning. Share the mistakes you're correcting. Explain the ideas changing how you think. Show people the work behind your progress. Just don't present lessons you're still learning as results you've already achieved. Your journey can be valuable without pretending it's complete. Happy weekend, give yourself attention also. I hope it's not late to wish you a happy new month.

When I hear some people talk about AI, I feel like rolling my eyes to the back of my head. I thought even 8 year olds can generate photos of them sitting in an office with chat gpt. How is Ai helping you with your content and business?

If creating content feels harder than it should, it's obvious you don't have a creativity problem. You might have a systems problem. No repeatable process for generating ideas. No workflow for scripting. No efficient way to record, edit, and publish. Every post becomes a fresh battle. Build a system that makes creating the next piece easier.

If you're really good at what you do, but people keep scrolling past your work, I want to tell you a story that might explain why. In October 2013, a small stall appeared on a pavement near Central Park in New York. A folding table. A few canvases. And an older man sitting on a chair beside them. And a simple sign: "Spray art. $60." Hundreds of people walked past. Tourists. Joggers. People on their way somewhere. For hours, nobody bought anything. When someone finally did, she negotiated. She got two small canvases for half the asking price. By the end of the day, the stall had made just $420.

Being good at what you do is not the same as helping people recognise why you're good at it. You might have an excellent skill. You might offer a valuable service. You might have something that could genuinely solve someone's problem. But if you put it in front of people without giving them any context, without explaining what it does, who it helps, or why it matters, they might simply scroll past. Not necessarily because your work has no value. But because you haven't given them a reason to recognise that value. This is why your content matters. Your content is your gallery. The stories you tell, the way you communicate your ideas, the problems you address and how you position yourself all help people understand what you're bringing to the table. You don't just want people to see your work. You want them to understand why it matters. And that's one of the things we're building here with INFLUENCE BEYOND VIRALITY Not just attention for the sake of attention, but the ability to communicate your value, earn trust and eventually turn that attention into meaningful opportunities. Because sometimes, the problem isn't that you have nothing valuable to offer. It's that people haven't been given a reason to look closer.

In an AI era I think having one single skill won't make you stand out, it's about stacking relevant skills that will help you execute effectively. Happy Wednesday, say hi.
